Ofsted Outstanding for a reason
My children have been looked after by Emma since my youngest was 10 months (he’s now 3.5 years). When I tell local mums in the area that our childminder is Emma, they always say “wow you’re so lucky, I’ve heard she’s amazing” and they are absolutely spot on.
My oldest child is now at school, so is no longer in Emma’s care and my youngest child will be going to preschool soon, so devastatingly will no longer be being looked after by Emma. She has been such a huge part of our lives over the past few years and we are all very sad to leave her as she really does feel a part of the family (although I will be pestering her for after school spots).
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to look after my children. My transition back to work, leaving 2 small children, was only bearable because of Emma. She has the loveliest nature, making my children feel safe, heard and encouraged. She’s very calm, yet attentive. She has conversations with them, using their name, talking with them as people not at them as children which is something that has really stood out to me. She knows their likes, dislikes, knows when they are not themselves. She remembers and lets me know funny things my son has said or done throughout the day when I do the pick up. I trust her entirely.
My son loves being in Emma’s care. He loves her cooking (he tells me “I only like Emma’s carrots”), they go out for walks, they go to playgroup and interact with other children. He was very excited recently and came home telling me about the “chrysalis” of the butterflies that were recently grown at Emma’s.
To sum Emma up:
- Best childminder you could ever have the pleasure of caring for your children
- Best decorated house on Halloween in Muswell Hill
- The only house that a rockstar Santa Claus visits
