Overall a great person to be around!!!!

My daughter has been with Kathleen for many months, she felt like family. Flexible, caring, loving, responsive, available, understanding... my daughter was treated like a princess, her birthday was celebrated, her needs respected and supported. My desires as a mum respected and considered. I felt heard when I wanted to talk about my child and equally Kathleen would always send feedbacks every single day with messages and pictures sent along the day!!! My daughter left a busy nursery setting which didn't really have time to dedicate the care and attention that she received with Kathleen. I am particular keen to add that Kathleen has a special calming aura which makes anyone around her feel calm and relaxed. Children can feel her inner peace and enjoy being in her calming environment. It was also very reassuring for me to know that she used to be a nurse and has full knowledge of how to not only address medical emergencies but also how to communicate with fellow medical emergency staff. I have personally witnessed Kathleen working above and beyond to support children and families in need within the community, within this big family she has created around her, knowing many children in the area!! She is a great asset to the community and I give my 100% recommendation to her and any parent who would work with her. On a final note, she has an amazing choice of toys, activities both indoors and outdoors, a pet that children adore, and a great understanding that children learn whilst they play. My daughter who was not always eating well at home, always had a good appetite with Kathleen. I will also say that I would recommend Kathleen over any nursery setting!!!

Professional, expert, kind and generous

I've been lucky enough to have Kathleen as my son's childminder since he was 4. Now age 7.
You'll want to know about her varied homecooking that happens every day which the kids love, her awards approach to eating fruit and vegetables, her quiet but successful discipline around mealtimes.
You'll want to know that your children will feel part of her loving family, including her two gorgeous caring girls.
You'll want to know about the endless crafts activities, outdoor fun in the well kept garden with its fruit and veg, and epic lego building.
You'll want to know about her flexible, nothing-is-a-problem approach. Her clear communication, her quick smile and laugh.
I could go on and on. But finally, and importantly, I regularly bump into Kath on the school run and no matter how many children she has in her care of all differing ages, they are all calmly following her clear quiet instructions as safety is evidently a huge priority for Kath.
It's hard to overstate how lucky you'd be to get a spot. As Sam, Marta and I unlikely to give up ours!

Amazing childminder

This is my first experience of having someone looking after my daughter and she has made it so easy. Kathleen is open, friendly and explained everything before my daughter started which was comforting. She goes the extra mile for all the children she cares for and ensures they are safe, Happy and have different activities to keep them occupied. I would highly recommend her.

Excellent childminder

My boys (4 and 6) have been going to Kathleen for 2 years now and they love going there. Kath offers a home from home environment for my children, which I think is really important, but also helps greatly from an educational point of view as she gets them to do plenty of fun activities where they are learning without it seeming like homework!
My youngest started with Kath when he was just 2 and would spend the whole day with her, since then he moved on to mornings at preschool and afternoons with Kath and in September he will be going to primary school and we will be using Kath for wraparound care. Thanks to Kath, my son has become a confident, outgoing boy who loves to learn and play. I think he was ready to start school last year, so I know that thanks to Kath's help, he won't have any trouble settling in in September.
When they are with Kath, I know that my boys are in a fun environment with other children to play with and lots of fun activities to do. They are very well fed with healthy meals and snacks after school, so that is something I don't need to worry about when I pick them up at the end of the day.
Communication with Kath is great. She is friendly and communicative and keeps you up to date on the activities your children have done and the progress they are making.
I can honestly say that I would be completely lost without Kath! I am so very grateful to her for the wonderful way in which she looks after my children. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.

Fantastic childminder, highly recommended

My little boy has been going to Kathleen now for around 6 months. She is so amazing with him and he has settled in really well.
Kath is very professional and experienced childminder, in a warm and home-like environment. Everything is very well organised and safe.She keeps routine and all activities very well. She is always spending with him quality time and has a lot of fantastic ideas to entertain the children.
My son is learning with her a lot everyday. Kath is very friendly, loving person and also very responsible and reliable. Me and my little boy couldn't be more happy to have such a great person in our live.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any one looking for a childminder.
