I have been extremely happy with the care Rayyane has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Joy’s care. Joy’s home is always welcoming, clean, well-organised and Rayyane had great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Joy’s warm, caring and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other child-minders we have experienced.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know Rayyane has really enjoyed going Bushey Park, play house, activities like drawing and sticking, reading and as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods. I really love the fact that Joy shared these experience with me every day by sharing daily activity pictures.
Joys is a great communicator and had no trouble in gaining Rayyane’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home.
Although I provided Rayyane’s food each day she provided healthy snacks such as fruit if she is exceptionally hungry or keen to eat. I am also aware that Joy ensures good personal hygiene in encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Joy’s home which has ensured that Rayyane has remained healthy.
I really liked the detailed diary of what Rayyane has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, how long she slept and all her activities. This helped me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about her day when we are at home.
I would absolutely recommend Joy as a great and reliable child minder I have been extremely happy with the care Rayyane has received, and the great progress she made whilst in Joy’s care. I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment has contributed to her developing into a confident and self-assured little girl. She is now enjoying nursery and all her tutors have been amazed with how brilliant she is at 3 years and am happy to say that it’s great credit to excellent care she received from Joy.
