My Summary
About Me
I've recently moved to Newcastle from my home town as I am attending Newcastle University. I'm currently studying a Combined Honours degree in Business, Media and History, as well as Spanish on an extended language course. I'm on the search for some part time work, and Babysitting would be perfect for me. I have previous experience working with children as well as supervision of them, and I have baby sat for multiple families previously (references can be provided if needed). I am a very outgoing and friendly individual who is extremely trust worthy and I have gentle demeanor, which is well suited for caring for children.
My Experience
Work Experience
Doncaster Twisters 2018-2019
As a hobby I attended trampolining 3 times a week at Bentley Pavilion for 8 years so when I turned 15 I was offered to work twice a week and coach the younger children. I took part in a young leaders course before I began coaching so I am aware of safety precautions and other concerns that involve trampolining and safeguarding issues involving the participants. I have worked with children as young as 5 and also children with disabilities therefore i have been able to adapt in certain situations whilst being able to recognize their needs and how every child is different with what they are confident with and willing to do. Working in this environment has given me the ability to adapt and change in different circumstances. As well as coaching the children, I also would go to work earlier to help set up the equipment ready on time for each session and would help pack the equipment away. Following this I have experience working with money as a worked at the shop on break times and was trusted to handle money and serve customers.

Marks and Spencer’s Customer Assistant 2020-Present
-Working in this environment has increased my knowledge and confidence massively. I started the Job as a temporary Christmas staff in 2020 with no intention of staying however they asked me to stay and a few months after made me a permanent member of staff where I worked whilst studying for my A levels and have continued doing so up until starting my university studies.
- Working here has increased my legal knowledge on food as I have worked closely with managers when completing tasks and checks to their legal requirements.
- As a customer assistant I often have the responsibility of keeping everything in order especially at peak busy times.
-The shift is flexible therefore I am responsible for a variety of things, working on a till, standards on the shop floor, backstage upkeep as well as catering to customers’ needs and dealing with their requests/problems appropriately.
- I have learnt how to work quickly and accurately to maximise sales. Throughout my time working here I have adapted fast to certain situations and have been able to learn the expectations of the store therefore I always try to go above and beyond to do more.
-I am able to absorb information quickly and follow instructions with little or no mistakes. I have the patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations since the job can become very chaotic at times.
Banco Coffee Limited- June 2023- Present
-Whilst working here I have learnt a number of skills. I was able to combine my prior knowledge from working in retail with this new hospitality environment in order to please customers to their highest satisfaction.
-I initially helped to set up this new coffee shop/bar, helping with organisation, prices setting, menu design before opening day
-Each day I would be working in a different role not knowing what to expect but was able to complete any task which was needed at that time.
-I have completed coffee and bar training and have also attended wine tasting sessions and have lots of knowledge in both categories.
Talent 84- October-Present
-I have worked at a couple of venues since being employed by Talent 84:
• Charlton Hall- Wedding
-Worked a 12hour shift to give help to a wedding event.
-served customers food dishes and a routinely order which a learnt upon arrival
-took part in organising events within the venue on the day
-worked across different sections in the venue on the day
-Bar work, cocktail making.
• Eldon Square- Elf School
-Involved singing, dancing, acting and interacting (playing games) with the children.
-Leant the script on the day
-This made me gain lots of confidence as it was something quite out of my comfort zone since I was performing in front of groups up to 60.
-Had to remain professional but also keep up the element of fun in order to keep the children engaged.
-I learnt how to time manage really well as each section had a specific time slot, and each followed one after each other therefore it was crucial to stick to the rota so customers weren’t waiting for prolonged periods.
Next Retail- December 2023- January 2024 (Christmas Temp)
-Rotated between working on womenswear, menswear and the kid’s department.
-My role was mainly to help during sale so peak times and doing sale markdown.
-Learnt how to use a new till system
-Interacted with customers efficiently.
