My Experience
Welcome to Nature Lane Childcare! We are very excited to share some information about ourselves and our journeys into education with you. We are two very enthusiastic and experienced early years teachers who are thrilled to create our own setting with an approach that is exciting and nurturing towards all children.
Dayna - I began my journey as a nursery practitioner which quickly developed into leading a pre-school room. This inspired me to then progress into teaching within early years and I therefore completed my Early Childhood Studies degree and PGCE by 2016. I have since been a reception teacher at a local primary school where I became the Early Years foundation Stage leader. I have thoroughly enjoyed this role and it has allowed me to become confident with the newly changed framework and build on my skills which has therefore given me the knowledge to run a successful childminding setting. I am also a mother of (soon to be) 3 under 4's. This is my favourite job of all and has given me an insight into what parents would want and expect for their children within a childcare setting. I cannot wait to start this exciting adventure where I will always provide quality care and provision in a nurturing way.
Emily - I have been working within childcare and education for 16 years and am excited for this new opportunity where I can provide a stimulating environment for young children. I have worked within nurseries and schools with a variety of age groups which has given me extensive experience, enabling me to provide quality care and education. I am also a mother of three beautiful children which I feel has developed my kind and nurturing nature. I am extremely passionate about providing children with opportunities to explore our natural environment which will underpin our setting and approach.
