About Me
I am an active geeky man who enjoys playing card games and puzzles and board games, i've spent two years working in an SEN specialist Deaf school working from ages 6-18,
I like being inquisitive and helpful and helping children to work things out for themselves. I am aware of the grip technology has on our children and try to encourage it's use as a tool for learning rather than a distraction.
I've done some travelling and am around for the next 3 months, looking to build good relationships and be a good other adult role model in whatever capacity. Always happy to help cook, clean and run errands :)
My Experience
I've been working with youth since 13, I started as a gymnastics coach and did that for three years, i've worked in many different sectors as i progressed through education such as retail, food, hospitality and education/residency.
My most applicable work was 2 years of working inside a boarding school as a loco-prarentis for students who stayed at the Deaf school monday-Friday.
I work well with kids and am happy to make plans that suit your needs - short or long term.
My Qualifications
Undergoing level 3 training course in childcare/safeguarding in residency - expected finish date May 2025.
