My Experience
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of working with families in the UK, and the US, providing care for children of all ages, from new-borns to teenagers. I have a natural ability to connect with children and support their development while also managing busy households.
In my most recent position as a live-in Nanny/Housekeeper in London (April 2023 – December 2024), I cared for a baby starting at 3.5 months old. My role included ensuring the child’s safety, supporting developmental milestones, and creating a consistent routine. I was responsible for bottle feeding, weaning, organising creative and educational activities, and managing medical appointments. I also took on full housekeeping responsibilities, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and errands. I ensured the household ran smoothly at all times, even during family trips, where I managed travel arrangements and packing.
Prior to this, I worked as a housekeeper/cleaner for a private family in Eastbourne (November 2021 – November 2022). I managed all cleaning tasks in a large home and occasionally cared for the family’s dog. This role further enhanced my ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a live-in nanny and au pair for families in the US and UK between 1996 and 2001. During this time, I cared for children aged 9 months to 5 years, managing their daily routines, organising activities, and handling household duties. One of my most rewarding roles involved caring for three children, including a new-born, in Connecticut. I accompanied the family on holidays, where I planned engaging activities such as arts and crafts and nature discovery.
Beyond my professional experience, I am a proud mother who has successfully raised my now-independent 21-year-old son. This personal experience has deepened my understanding of childcare and shaped my approach as a professional.
I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certification (valid until 2025), an enhanced DBS certificate, and a French driving licence. While I have not yet driven in the UK, I am confident in my ability to adapt.
