Hello & Welcome to Shooting Star Childcare (Welling)
My name is Subna Hirani the Director of Shooting Star Childcare (Welling). I have been registered as an Childminder since 2016 and upgraded to a “childcare on domestic premises nursery in 2020. I was recently graded good by Ofsted under my childcare on domestic premises nursery registration.
My main goal as a childcare provider is to build positive relationships and help your child to understand the world. I would love to see your children develop socially, physically and mentally as a well-rounded child. I enjoy interacting with kids at all levels and watching them develop and grow into it independent individuals.
We follow the EYFS which is the statutory framework that all childcare providers including nurseries must follow. However as we are smaller than a nursery we are able to offer a more personalised service to our parents and we are able to spend more time with the children.
I enjoy working with children from all different backgrounds and ages and have children from lots of different backgrounds and nationalities on my books.
I have gained a first-hand experience working in the childcare industry as I have two beautiful children of my own aged 12&13.
I Have 18 years experienced in working under pressure in a quick paced fast moving environment.
I am well presented with exceptional childcare skills, organisational skills, communication skills and the ability to provide an effective childcare service.
I work with a lovely team of assistants who all have full DBS Checks, Full Paediatric First Aid Certificates and all have been checked by OFSTED.
My deputy manager has her level 3 early years educator, my rooms leaders have their level 2 and are working towards their level 3 and I have one apprentice who is working towards their level 2.

My daughter is going to Shooting Star since November last year and she was very happy to attend every day. She has learned so many things and always getting very excited to tell me how was her day when I pick her up. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Subna is amazing and always there to listen and help if there is any problem with my child and give advise what can be done. The nursery is very warm and welcome. Also is very safe inside and plenty of space for the kids to play inside and out. Daily activities covering different subjects. Honestly we are very happy and strongly recommending Shooting Star. It is home away from home.

Our son has been going there for over a year. I highly recommend Subna and all of her team. They are excellent with children and from the first day my son loved it there. They are amazing with all the activities they do for the children. I can truly say we can see a massive improvement in a development in our son. They keep you update through out the day and always.

We couldn't be happier with the care, attention and support our daughter receives from Shooting Star Childcare. Our daughter has attended since she turned 1; it was a daunting time, as this would be the first time we had to leave our little girl in the hands of someone else....but we couldn't' be happier with the choice we made.
We are kept up to date with everything that is happening. Once we log in to the live/secure system we can see photos, videos and updates about what she has been up to, eaten and how she is getting on.
Our daughter LOVES her time at Shooting Star Childcare. She has developed so much, in such a short space of time! We owe a huge thank you to Subna and the team and would strongly recommend them to any parent out there looking for the best environment to send their children.

Our daughter has only been attending nursery for 3 days a week since September and I can honestly say it’s the best decision we have ever made. Her development during this time has been amazing to watch and we can only put this down to Subna and her awesome team and all that they do with her. We are kept really well updated throughout the day and I’m always blown away by the activities they put on for her from learning French to the never ending artwork she brings home that proudly smothers our kitchen door. She absolutely loves going to nursery and you can see why!
No other nursery comes close to Shooting star childcare welling; I rave about this nursery to everybody and I cannot recommend a better place to send your child should you be considering it. It’s changed our lives for the better, our brilliant and beautiful little girl is maturing into very best version of herself and it makes the hard decision of sending her to nursery whilst I go to work so much easier. I only wish I worked here as it’s the dictionary definition of fun, laughter and joy and feels like part of your own family.

Our four year old daughter is collected after school every Monday and Tuesday. She loves going back to Subna's (“Auntie's”) house. She has dinner and a snack and Subna sends photos of the meals the children eat. The premises are clean and secure with plenty of activities for the kids. We highly recommend Subna as a childminder.

My son is collected from school and he is at Shooting Star for a few hours in the evening. It is a safe place, which is clean and organised. This childcare provider is very reliable and also encourages learning with the children. I would highly recommend.
