Home from home
We honestly feel so lucky to have found this childminders. From the very start, it felt like the right place — warm, welcoming, and full of care. It’s a genuinely homely environment where children are looked after with real love and attention.
The food that Dana prepares is outstanding — fresh, home-cooked and varied. It’s so reassuring to know they’re getting such nutritious, thoughtful meals every day. Our son tries dishes he would never have tried at home - it’s really expanded his pallet which we are so grateful for. They have also been incredibly accommodating with any suspected food intolerances (of which there have been a few over the years!)
The activities are incredible — Dana and her team put in a lot of time and effort to come up with creative, educational, and fun ideas. Every day seems to bring something new, whether it’s learning through games, messy play, music, themed days, or time spent exploring in the garden. Our son has grown so much in confidence and skills, and he’s always excited to tell us what he’s been doing. They celebrate everyone’s birthday with a party and make the day feel special. They also celebrate a huge range of national and international days which is so lovely as well as being educational.
The outdoor space is beautiful — a lovely garden where the kids can dig, splash, run, and grow things. And being right next to several parks means they get plenty of fresh air and outdoor adventures. It’s such a big part of why we chose this setting, and it’s been every bit as valuable as we hoped.
One thing that’s always reassured us is how tuned-in and caring Dana and her team are. If they suspect a child might be under the weather or not quite themselves, they act quickly and sensitively. That level of awareness is so rare and speaks volumes about the kind of care they provide.
The communication has been fantastic from day one — regular updates, photos, and always time for a chat. We’ve felt genuinely supported and informed every step of the way.
Most importantly, our son absolutely loves going. He runs in every morning and he’s made lovely friendships that mean the world to him (and us). It’s a joy to see.
Now that our time here is coming to an end, we’re honestly heartbroken to be leaving. This place has been a godsend — not just for our son, but for us as a family. We’re so grateful for everything, and we’ll miss it hugely. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.
