Sheila has been in our family for a whole year. She started when one of my two daughters was 6 months old and the eldest was 2 years and 10 months. I am so happy that we met Sheila and can highly recommend her as a nanny. She has been such great help from the very start. She got along with girls straightaway, especially my eldest one as the youngest was still a baby. Sheila’s primary responsibility was to take care of my youngest daughter as eldest was already at nursery and she was very connected to me and my husband. As I wasn’t working and my husband worked from home we managed the routine for our eldest (pick ups and drop offs) and Sheila was looking after our baby. Sheila was cooking always for baby and sometimes for both. She cooked very healthy food and was weaning our baby gradually moved her to three full meals a day. Sheila helped us with the routine and made sure baby was napping consistently well. Our baby was very constipated when Sheila started and she helped us make sure that we reduce medicines that were prescribed and gradually stop it altogether by giving baby healthy food and balanced diet. Sheila would prepare baby food for the weekend when she had days off so we didn’t have to worry about it.
She is always on time and she rarely had any sick days. She was very considerate and travelled with us twice - to Europe and to Asia. At home Sheila was keeping girls’ rooms tidy and organised, laundry always done and the kitchen was always tidy.
Sheila is a very sincere person, she does everything with care and attention. She is very understanding and she is definitely professional. Sheila has a friendly personality and she is fun for kids to play with. My both daughters love Sheila and I always hear them laughs when they play. Having said that I want to highlight that when Sheila plays with kids she doesn’t overstimulate them, they laugh but dont scream.
We sadly had parted ways only because my youngest is starting nursery and my eldest is going to school so we wouldn’t need help as much anymore. Sheila was definitely the best nanny we have had! I am happy to speak to answer any questions if needed, i definitely recommend Sheila and can only says good things about our time together.

I am pleased to write a reference letter for Sheila. During her employment Sheila was absolutely wonderful looking after our two kids.
Both my kids love Sheila and felt very comfortable around her. She is very warm and patient and takes time to learn each kids’ specific needs and attention they require.
Always in her work, Sheila is dedicated, passionate, enthusiastic, cheerful and a pleasure to have around. She is great with talking to young kids and explaining things to them in a very interesting and lovely way. For example we were out one day and my son saw a little boy with a disability and started asking questions, Sheila was amazing at explaining things and my son even said to her after “Sheila I love when you talk to me, you make me feel nice”.
During this last year I have learnt to know Sheila personally, she is a wonderful woman, she works very hard and has a very creative and warm personality. She is very good at taking initiatives and she really loves being around children and that is why she is very good at her job.
When she started working for us my daughter was only 3 months and my son was 3 years and started school.
Straight away I felt very safe leaving her alone with our daughter. She adapts very quickly, she is very good with managing babies routine, she knows how to look after them when they are ill and she can cook a variety of lovely healthy meals for both my kids. Sheila is very organised and tidy.
Honestly Sheila is the best nanny we have ever had, she is professional, always on time and you can tell that she has a great experience with kids any age. She is an angel sent from heaven and the next family to have her will be very lucky.

Sheila came to look after our 10 month old after a friend recommended her to me. I had been very hesitant to hire help, but Sheila was great, just as my friend had promised. She has a lot of experience with babies and young children so she slipped into the roll with out any issues. Sheila was enthusiastic, caring and took initiative. We also appreciated that she was very flexible and able to help out in the evenings and on weekends. I really appreciated her help, support and her advice. I highly recommend Sheila as a nanny!

Sheila, was by far the best nanny we’ve ever had. I have two boys (1 year old & 3 years old), I have never felt more comfortable leaving both of my kids with anyone. Sadly we have moved to Australia and the one thing we would have brought with us if we could was Sheila. My boys are a handful, but nothing worries her or stresses her. She’s so independent and takes great initiative. I don’t often leave both kids with anyone, but we left both of them (when the baby was just a few months old) with Sheila while we went away for the weekend. She’s the best! I honestly can’t recommend her enough.

Sheila Soares worked as a nanny for our family for two years from January 2017 - December 2018. She has has lovingly and reliably cared for our first son three days per week starting when he was 9 months old until 2.5 years old, along with our second son from birth to 7 months. Our sons love and absolutely adore her, and she has truly become a beloved member of our family.
Sheila has more positive qualities than I can possibly list. She is a caring, attentive genuine, and honest person - I have trusted her completely to care for our children. She is patient and kind and also sets boundaries and behaviour expectations for our toddler. Among her many attributes Sheila has provided the following for our boys:
-Nutritious meal preparation: Sheila is an incredible cook and has prepared healthy, delicious meals from baby purees to enticing and nutritious toddler meals and snacks.
-Creativity and arts: Sheila is extremely creative and a talented artist. She has done painting, drawing and other creative projects with our son, especially on rainy days! She also listens to music and encourages singing and dancing!
-Learning and language development: Sheila is constantly reading and teaching our son new things such as counting, colors, alphabet, etc. She is fluent in English, but speaks with our son in Portuguese at our request, as well as baby sign language.
-Playgroups and activities: Sheila is an outgoing person who loves to keep our kids entertained and active. She knows of many playgroups, music and dance classes, and other activities in the area. She also has an extensive network of other wonderful nannies in the area to arrange play dates in the park.
-First Aid and safety - Sheila always prioritises safety of our children inside the house and out. She is first aid qualified and is always making sure the boys are safe. She keeps the children play area extremely tidy and free of any hazards.
Above all, Sheila has provided love and care for our children while we were working. The only reason we have parted ways is because we are moving back to the USA.
I am happy to provide more details on Sheila’s capabilities and qualifications. She has my utmost recommendation and support and would be an asset to any family looking for a wonderful, loving carer for their children.

Please see my review just below for further information. This is just to update that Sheila has continued to work for us (we were able to work around the hours I required) so has now been with us for 16 months. My boys are now nearly 2 and nearly 4. Sheila has been looking after my two young boys (5 months old and 2 when she started) for 9 months, 2 days per week.
We have found her to be such a warm, caring person who our boys adore. I sometimes work from home and when I do, I can hear my boys laughing so much and obviously having a great time with Sheila.
As a mum, I find Sheila very easy to chat to and she provides a thorough update on the boys each day - what they've eaten, nappies if relevant, how they've slept, what activities they have done and how they've behaved. She also leaves our home spotless.
Sheila is 200% competent with the boys. She is straight onto it if one has a temperature or any other problems such as teething. My oldest is an incredibly fussy eater, and Sheila has magically got him eating red meat (first time in 6 months and he still won't do this for me), eggs, vegetables, etc. She is also a great cook (with a lot of variety) and regularly cooks and freezes for me.
Sheila is a very calm person who doesn't raise her voice but is firm with the boys when needed. She also explains situations and consequences to them to help them understand. I know when taking the boys outside for activities that she looks after their safety as a priority because my oldest went through a phase of trying to run away thinking it was funny and she and I would discuss this and how to deal with it.
I have found a huge benefit of Sheila is her vast nanny experience and knowledge of children. It's invaluable having someone so experienced looking after your precious children.
My work hours have changed which is resulting in me needing to find someone with more availability than Sheila can provide. I'm really sad for my boys though because I know they will miss Sheila immensely. I can't recommend Sheila highly enough.

Sheila, took care of my 4 year old son and my 12 months baby girl for 14 months before George started school. He settled so well and loved going to her care. I feel she had a lot of empathy for my son, made him feel very secure and worked hard to support his development while ensuring that he had a fun and stimulating day. He loved to go to play music and play date with Sheila and this helped him develop socially too..
She communicated well with me and my wife about what my son had done during the day writing in the diary and always txt us.
She was flexible in ask last minute babysitting and never say no for any extra help when we needed.
When my baby Elisa borned she helped me with all daily routine with concentration effort.
She was very reliable, punctual, can do attitude, consistent, cheerful, and affectionate with my children.
Unfortunelly we had to go back to our country and could not take her.
I am very pleased we had Sheila as our Nanny and would THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO OTHER PARENTS.
