We have been so lucky to have found Lorraine! Our son Ziggy, has been going to Lorraine for just over 9 months & since he was 14 months old. He is really happy there, and settled in well.
Lorraine provides a very happy, safe environment. She has a really great set up - a great collection of toys & books, musical instruments.
Ziggy is always getting up to fun activities like outings, baking, crafts, library , walks, story time. she also makes sure they get out and about to the park, to the local soft play which he absolutely loves ( outdoorsy baby)
Lorraine, keeps in touch with me during the day, sending me little pics of what Ziggy is getting up to. Which I absolutely love, as well as a daily diary of what Ziggy gets up to each day with all the info on what he ate ( very good food variety btw ) when he slept ect.
His confidence and language skills are blossoming under Lorraineās care
And heās definitely come out of his little shell š
Definitely recommend Lorraine
Itās a 5 start from our family š

At first I was a little hesitant about my son going to a childminder but I came across Lorraineās profile and I am very happy that I did. My son has settled in really well and looks forward to going to see Lorraine and his friends every week. She takes them to lots of amazing fun places and keeps me updated with pictures throughout the day. My son likes to tell me about all the fun things that they have done. You will not be disappointed if you choose Lorraine to look after your child š

Our little boy Amoz wakes up every morning asking for Lorraine! He loves spending time with her and with his friends. We love receiving photos of Amoz throughout the day so we can see what he is up to and we love his notebook with details of all the activities and personal improvements he does every week. Amoz is only speaking Spanish at the moment but Lorraine knows him very well and always makes sure he is getting what he needs. We are very grateful to have found her!!

I was so nervous about leaving my daughter with anybody else but she has really thrived under Lorraineās care. We love all the activities and outside time that Lorraine provides, theyāre always fun but educational. Another worry I had was our daughters dietary requirements but Lorraine has been more than accommodating, I couldnāt recommend her more.

I canāt recommend Lorraine enough, we are very fortunate to have found her. She provide a home from home, an outstanding level of care along with fun days out, a range of daily activities to engage the children and support their learning and development. There are so much for the kids to do, Lorraine never runs out of the ideas! Camilla settle in very quickly and absolutely loves coming in. If you are looking for the best childminders around then look no furtherā¤ļø

My daughter started with Lorraine in May 2023 when she was 20 months old and this is one of the best decisions I made since I moved to Manchester.
I was quite impressed when we went to look around at Lorraineās. She had this folder of documents and explained how she works to me in detail. And just the organisation of the room and the labels told me she knew what she was about. I am very pleased with my daughterās progress, she picked up a lot of things quickly because of the older kids she met there.
Daily she takes them out and plans activities for them. She sends pictures to keep us updated and keeps a daily record of their activities in the notebook. I hardly have to ask anything because Iām up to speed with whatās going on. She also gives them healthy food to eat.
Lorraine is genuinely interested in early years learning and this shows in all the activities she plans for the kids, the outings, the toys, games and books. I cannot recommend her enough. Itās every parentās wish to be at peace that your child is being properly cared for and I definitely get that with Lorraine. I have no regrets.

I had my son during lockdown due to this he had been with me constantly and we both were inseparable . I tried to get him into two different nurseryās and for months he just would not settle. I started to look online for a childminder and came across Lorraine and David. After getting in contact with Lorraine we arranged to have a look around. Straight away from meeting Lorraine I knew I wanted my little boy to attend. His first day came quickly I was anxious to be apart from my son while I went to work. On arrival I bumped in to another parent who assured me my son would be just fine and settle in. Of course the first day he was a little unsettled but I couldnāt thank Lorraine enough for keeping me updated via WhatsApp sending me photos and messages of how he was getting on. Within five minutes I received a picture of my son happily playing and settled. After day two of him attending Lorraineās he started to run in without any problems. Since going to Lorraineās and Davidās my son has reached so many mile stones and has become such a clever boy. He came home counting and spelling words just to add my son wasnāt even two at this point. Lorraine takes the children out everyday and they engage in many activities indoor and out door. My son has gained so much confidence and knowledge I could not be happier. He now also ask to go to Lorraineās on the days he doesnāt attend. I now advise any friends with children too look in to childminders as it has been an amazing experience for me as a first time mum. With him being so unsettled in the two nurseries before I could not believe how much he loves and wants to be at Lorraineās and Davidās.

We were incredibly nervous about our son as he hadn't settled in at nursey settling sessions. Lorraine took him in her stride and I feel he settled in within a matter of days and really put our minds at ease.
The activities they get up to and the places they go are fantastic, they get out every day, is exactly what we would be doing with our son and almost feels like an extension of our family. We get updates and pictures throughout the day and a diary at the end of the day of what they have been up to, eaten and how well they have slept.
I couldn't recommend Lorraine & David enough. They say everything happens for a reason and I feel our son didn't settle at nursey so we could find Lorraine x

My little girl (now 2), started with Lorraine and David in September 2020, during the pandemic. And as you can imagine I was very anxious for her to be leaving me as we had spent so much time together, but from the first moment meeting Lorraine to have a look around I knew she would be so happy and content.
Myself and my partner are so pleased with how well our little girl is doing, she is becoming such a well mannered, kind and happy little person and we honestly cannot thank Lorraine and David enough for all they have done to help and guide her. The activities and days out they do with the children daily are brilliant, and they spend so much time outdoors which we love. She is now learning pencil control, writing her name, recognising numbers (she loves her 'school work') And everything is communicated to us daily, with pictures sent to us and a learning journey diary which is written in every visit.
Plus if our little girl was doing this review she would also be saying how amazing the food is. Everything is freshly prepared and varied.
We're choosing not to put her in the pre-school in September, as she is very settled, made a lovely group of friends, and is advancing so well here.

Lorraine and David care for both our children. Our youngest is 2 and our eldest 7; she has been attending since she was 6 months old and still attends during the school holidays at her requestā¦ to us that speaks volumes! They have built amazing relationships with both Lorraine and David and they adore them. This is something as working parents, we find comfort in. Whilst at work our children are happy, well cared for in a āhome from homeā environment.
Both Lorraine and David are friendly, approachable and very professional. They take pride in the children they care for and this shows in the activities provided. From forrest school, visits to local parks, soft play centres, play groups, visits to museums and seasonal themed activities, to name just a few!
Our children love the activities and as parents we love the excellent communication we receive. Pictures are sent throughout the day and a daily diary is completed, this enables us to read through what the children have been doing, we can discuss their day with them and we feel involved.
Lorraine and David take special pride in the learning and development of our children following the EYFS framework. Our 7 year old has a very positive attitude to learning and we both feel this began in the positive learning environment provided whilst with David and Lorraine. Our 2 year old is currently working on pencil control and number recognition!
We cannot recommend Lorraine and David enough if you are looking for childminding services for your special little people!
Lorraine and David provide a caring, supportive āhome from homeā environment, one that both our children have thrived in!
