Maxine is such a wonderful childminder that goes above and beyond any other I viewed. Maxine looked after my son from the age of 1-2 years old. Sadly we bought a house so had to move which was such a shame as he was so happy at hers. Maxine ensures the children she looks after have variety in both the mornings and afternoons from forest schools, sports, playgroups and arts and crafts. My son has struggled at a previous childminders but settled really quickly at hers. She was very supportive and attentive of him and we received a detailed diary entry every day. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Max looked after our son Jack from the age of 5 months until he turned 2 and she still does during school holidays. She is brilliant and makes so much effort to do fun, interesting things everyday - so much variety! She really cares about her children and invests in their development as if they were her own. Her setting is so well equipped and the garden is great plus the kids go out with her at least once a day. We would recommend Maxine to anyone as a wonderful person to take care of your child.

Hi Barbara & Iain and of course Jack , thankyou for the lovely review you have put on my profile . Your an amazing family and so enjoyed looking after jack , how he has grown such a confident little man . He’s so gentle and caring around smaller children and wow the conversations we have had and he’s not even 3 yet , the excitement he gets when we have seen a rubbish truck or diggers posing for photos. I’ve been glad to help after lockdown and we will always stay in touch. Regards Max x
I have known Maxine for 7.5years and in that time she has looked after both my children. First my son, who is now 8yrs, and then my 3yr old daughter who joined Maxine when she was 1yrs. You couldn’t find a more dedicated, professional, caring and engaged childminder than Maxine. She takes the responsibility of looking after children very seriously. I like that she chooses to only look after a few children at any one time, so she can always give proper attention to those in her care. She is constantly stimulating the children and teaching them new things whether with music and singing, reading to them, imaginative play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and trips to local parks, playgroup activities and libraries. Whilst I’ve seen many childminders over the years at drop-ins or parks disengaged on their phones, Maxine is always the one in the sandpit or down on the play-mats playing. She also helps children’s development. She helped both of mine with everything from learning to court to understanding their emotions (sharing etc).
She does all this is a fantastic home-from-home setting. She has a lovely house with a great garden, and she makes your child feel a part of her super-lovely family. Both my children adore her! She is really affectionate, gives lots of hugs, whilst having a calm authority, helping little ones learn right from wrong. With all her experience, I have also found Maxine incredibly supportive and helpful, whenever I've asked for parenting advice (esp the first time around as a new mum)!
If you are looking for a childminder, and you’re lucky enough to find she has availability, you really couldn’t find anyone better than Maxine. She’s amazing! The best!

Hi Emily, thank you for your review it’s so lovely of you . Also wouldn’t have expected a short one as a journalist of you . Remember the 4 pages you wrote for the Ofsted inspector. Its been a pleasure for me and my family to look after both of your children. Also sad when they left for school. Love seeing you all locally and also our friendship now . Maxine looked after our daughter from 7months old until 2years old, 3 days a week. She taught her nursery rhymes, colours, animals and numbers. Encouraging learning in all areas whilst always giving her praise and confidence. We still keep in touch to this day. She gave our daughter a great start in life and ensured that my husband and I could go to work without any worrying about our baby. We knew she was in very safe hands.

Maxine is a kind, efficient, caring and super experienced childminder. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her. She looks after our little girl beautifully, and she feels like part of the family.

Maxine looked after my daughter from the age of 9 months to 3 years. She provides a lovely and nurturing environment for all the children in her care. I would thoroughly recommend her to any parents looking for a childminder in the Queens Park area.
