Sending off your little one to be cared for by someone other than you is always one of the most nerve wracking moments of your life…but not with Kirsty. From the moment we met Kirsty and saw how she interacted with our little girl we were instantly put at ease and that feeling wasn’t misplaced. A year on and our daughter simply adores coming, skipping in every day with a smile on her face, safe in the knowledge that she will be learning, crafting, visiting new places or seeing friends. Indeed our daughter she has flourished beyond belief since being in Kirsty’s care, developing an incredible level of confidence, a fabulous command of vocabulary far beyond her years and a true hunger for knowledge. I have no doubt that this has been stimulated and fed by Kirsty’s skill as an educator- capturing the children’s imagination with innovative, organised, well planned trips and activities both inside and outside the setting.
Kirsty sets clear, consistent boundaries with the children in her care and has a firm yet always kind, caring way of dealing with poor behaviour and a wonderful way of not dwelling on the negatives but finding the positives and nurturing that behaviour instead. When we have experienced challenging behaviour from our strong willed child Kirsty always offers sage advice and goes above and beyond to support us as parents which had been greatly appreciated! There is always a kindness to Kirsty’s methods, towards children but also parents which I think is rare.
We couldn’t be happier with the care provided. The setting itself is excellent both inside and outside and I feel there are a wide range of learning opportunities to stimulate little minds. The level of organisation and creativity Kirsty has astounds me and the arts and crafts interwoven with learning opportunities/life events is always incredible to see.
The level of care and consideration shown for not only for our child but us is truly more than we could ask for. We can honestly say that we never worry when our daughter is in Kirsty’s care and I am thrilled that my son will be cared for by Kirsty next year too.
Kirsty is simply the best of the best.

Kirsty is a brilliant childminder, she looked after my children now aged 5 and 10 years.
I never had to worry about my children when they were with Kirsty. She is a very caring person, organized, professional and you can clearly tell she loves children from the service she provides. Kirsty provides an excellent service, she keeps a clean house, great toys for all ages group of children in her care She is always full of joy and smiles . Very patient with every single child in her care. She always goes the extra mile. My children loved going Kirsty after school.
Kirsty is a kind of childminder that, if you leave your children with her, you will never ever have to worry about their well being or their safety. She always goes beyond and above to makes sure the children are happy in her home. My children will miss her.
I will always recommend Kirsty as an excellent childminder anytime.

My 2 boys (aged 4 and 7) have been going to Kirsty the last 2 years in the school holidays. My children look forward to going there as they know they will have a fantastic time.
The care they get is wonderful and they are always excited to know what they will do while they are there. Kirsty always keeps the boys entertained and has great activities for them to do and amazing places to go.
I highly recommend Kirsty. I wouldn’t trust my children with anyone else.

Kirsty has looked after my youngest son since he was 10 months old and he is now 4 and starting reception. He has always loved going to Kirsty’s house and treats it like a home from home. Kirsty has adapted and changed her care in line with his changes from a baby to toddler to pre schooler. She has had an active role in his development and has been instrumental in him learning how to hold a pencil and be school ready with his shapes, numbers and letters. Kirsty also does the school drop offs and pick ups for my eldest son who is now 7 and he equally loves going and being able to play in the garden. She encourages an atmosphere where children can play with each other and also have their own space if they need it. My children see Kirsty as an extension of their family and I couldn’t imagine them being with anyone else.

Kirsty looks after my two boys age 3 and 7. I cannot recommend her enough. Kirsty’s house is well set up for childminding including great indoor and outdoor spaces. There are ample activities for the children to choose from inside and out and neither have ever come home saying they are bored. Kirsty regularly takes the children for walks around the village and visits the local library and parks. Kirsty designs her daily activities around the individual child’s interests and development needs. Neither of my children has ever left hungry (and they like to eat!) healthy snacks and meals are always on offer and my youngest has never left a crumb. She always has time to chat at the end of each busy day and regularly sends photos and updates to me during the day. Kirsty is very passionate about childcare and has a wealth of experience in different settings, she is always smiling and I have never had to worry about leaving my children in her care.

We were absolutely delighted from day one with the service provided by Kirsty. There is not enough room in this review to be able to express all the things she does but below are some key points.
Firstly and most crucially our daughter is extremely happy with Kirsty. They have built up a wonderful bond over the nearly two years they have spent together (from 14 months through to 3 and half years old). We would not hesitate to recommend Kirsty and in fact we have recommended Kirsty to many other parents already.
In terms of Safety and cleanliness, we never have any concerns at all with Kirsty‘s house. It is always spotless and we love the way the play room is set out and the garden too! Our daughter loves the toys and the routines especially regarding coats and shoes and Kirstie has been a huge help as regards to things like toilet training too. There is plenty of choices for things to do and lots of lovely visual and sensory toys and activities accessible at all times.
Communication and information sharing - Kirsty sends daily WhatsApp photos and comments and the photos and comments themselves are always really great to read and see. We use them as discussion points with our Daughter each evening and she in turn takes great joy in telling us about her day. They’re also very reassuring. For example if our daughter has not slept well or is not eating well then Kirstie makes a special point of keeping us up-to-date throughout the day. Kirsty‘s messages are always positive and professional and she has always been ‘in tune’ with our parenting styles, routines and expectations.
Resources and activities - This is a real strength of Kirsty’s! Our daughter comes home almost every day with new pictures arts and crafts of which she is incredibly proud. Kirsty comes up with lots of ideas and lots of original things to do to ensure variety. Even after two years we never really feels like she’s doing the same thing over and over. Kirsty is particularly good at doing activities based around themes or whatever is happening in the world or in a particular season. Kirsty never forgets family birthdays so everyone is always in for a surprise! She is also especially good at gently ‘stretching and challenging our daughter and has even encouraged her into a little light writing before she has even started her preschool place! Kirsty takes advantages of plenty of playgroups and local activities that are happening nearby so for example she will utilise the library, local theme parks, local parks and even work with other childminders to ensure that variety is guaranteed.
Overall, Kirsty is simply terrific! We were instantly reassured and absolutely convinced she was the right childminder for a daughter within minutes of meeting her! Being the true professional she is Kirsty made sure that both myself and my wife had met her and spent time with her before confirming a final decision about a placement.
