Mona started with us as a (night) maternity nurse when our twin girls were 2
weeks old (born at 36+4 weeks).
Mona's capability at confidently caring for our 2 tiny babies was so reassuring and rapidly helped us to recover from feeling broken, having not organised any such care before the birth.
She looked after all aspects of our girls' care overnight, i.e. changing, bottle feeding or helping me to tandem breastfeed, burping, soothing & getting them back to sleep, and sterilising. She tracked all of these and shared all notes with me. In the mornings, she ensured the girls got tummy time and highlighted development milestones.
I was grateful for Mona's positive and proactive approach, i.e. helping us implement systems in the kitchen and the kids' bedroom - a huge help during that stage of overwhelm.
In addition to Mona's certified credentials, she exuded passion and dedication for the role.
Being so well-read on the subject, she was also able to point me to a range of excellent learning resources for info on later stages.
I was so glad to have found Mona for all the above reasons and really valued her positive impact.
Mona is a highly competent and experienced night nanny. She did a great job with our 3 week old premature twins. She handles them really delicately, and is able to pick them both up at once. She talks to them in a very calming way, and her manner exudes calm confidence, which I think they pick up on, even if they don’t understand words. 3 weeks into being a first time mum, it was so lovely to have a confident person come into the house and take over in the gentlest possible way.
We usually bedshare and find it hard to put our babies down without them getting upset. Mona was able to keep them really calm all night, so the rest of the house could get some good sleep. Mona came to us every week for a couple of months, until the babies started to sleep a bit better, it was a real treat knowing that we could sleep and the babies would be cared for by someone who wasn’t exhausted from sleep deprivation, and who knows what they are doing.
I exclusively breastfeed on demand, so Mona would bring them in when they were hungry, I wasn’t sure if this would work, but it worked really well. The feeding doesn’t take long when you have someone else to do all the burping, settling and changing.
I strongly recommend Mona as a nanny or night nanny. Thanks Mona!
I interviewed lots of nannies for a nanny share. Mona was by far the best. Professional, experienced, great at communicating, and wonderful with the babies. Unfortunately the nanny share fell through as the other mother was sadly made redundant. She had such amazing references that all agreed that she would be very hard to replace as she was so reliable and the children loved her. I would highly recommend Mona. She also has all of the necessary documents (CBR checks, UK passport, first aid, offstead etc etc)
I don't have enough space here to articulate what a fantastic and reliable nanny Mona is - we were lucky enough for her to come and join our family 4 months ago when my son was almost 9 months and she made my return to work so easy as I knew he was in the best possible hands.
My son has come on leaps and bounds since her arrival - her ability to find local age relevant classes (many free!) is quite amazing! She is also the most fantastic chef and therefore gives my son (and sometimes Mummy & Daddy!) an extremely varied, fresh and healthy diet whilst leaving the kitchen in a cleaner state than I left it for her!
I honestly can't speak highly enough of Mona and both myself and my son will be devastated when she leaves (change of circumstances on my part).
If you are looking for a wonderful, reliable, dedicated nanny then look no further - you have found her - Mona is it.
