Angela was childminder to our two children over a 6 year period and we couldn't recommend her highly enough! Angela's is a home from home and she treats every child she cares for with equal love and attention. When your children attend Angela's setting they become part of of the family. Every day is jam-packed with fun and educational activities, days out and she provides nutritious and healthy meals. We laughed that our son would eat anything at Angela's and was so fussy at home! Now he's started school he refuses to eat school dinners because they are not as good as Angela's dinners! We chose to send our son to Angela's instead of nursery and he just had his first parents evening at Reception. The teacher was so impressed with his phonics and writing skills, his social skills and manners, showing how well Angela prepared him for school. She coped amazingly well with the pandemic and the ever changing rules and regulations. She found inventive ways to keep the children entertained during lockdowns when they couldn't go out, allowing us key workers to continue working knowing our children were safe and happy. She communicates really well with parents and keeps you informed of any news, with updates through the day to share what they have been doing. Angela is incredible - she is flexible, caring, open and generous and pours her heart and soul into the job ❤️

We've been using Angela since December 2018 when I returned to work. We visited a number of childminders last summer while trying to secure childcare for my daughter and Angela stood out. It might have been the ducks in the kitchen! Part of a great experiment for the kids to learn about life cycles.
We don't have family in the area and Angela and hers have been so supportive and helpful, my daughter even calls Lorna (Angela's mum), Grandma. The whole family is involved with the children and it's lovely to see.
Angela supplies a regular newsletter, which describes upcoming activities and what the children are currently learning. There's also daily photos and videos, which certainly in the early days I really appreciated. There's regular family competitions and occasional evenings out for parents to meet each other.
My daughter suffers from egg and nut allergies and this has not been a problem at all. Angela supplies food for the children and she had kindly just adapted what she offers the children accordingly. She fully knows what to do in case of a reaction.
Most importantly my daughter really enjoys going and she's happy while there. She's learning lots (recently amazed us all on her knowledge of body parts and she's only 18 months!).
Angela is a great childminder and we feel so very lucky to have found her.
Angela has had both my children since September 2016. One was 1 and the other was just before and after school. I couldn't have asked for a better childminder to look after my children. The opportunities she provides for them is outstanding and more than what you would expect from a childminder. She always goes above and beyond and most of all my boys love going there. My youngest is now 3 nearly 4 and he starts reception in September. Angela has been a huge part of his development and when we had concerns around his speech she worked with him on his sounds and now he is doing just great. She always takes their interests in hand and enhances her resources to support them. I am expecting again and I really hope there is room for my little one but I know that no doubt by the time I come back Angela will be fully booked as she is the best!!!
Angela has looked after my little one B for a year now, since he was 1. I know he is incredibly happy there as he bounds through the door in the morning and isn't that bothered about coming home in the evening! When he's under the weather he'll get cuddles and when he's naughty he'll get the naughty step. Angela takes the kids out most days, beach, farm, national trust, and if they're in the house they're doing crafts or baking. She's been a massive factor in teaching B his colours, counting and so many other things. Angela's been fab at being flexible where possible with my shifts and always offers help in tricky situations, and I honestly don't know what we'd do without her.
Angela has looked after both of my children (F, now aged 5, and C, now aged 3).
I have nothing but praise for her caring attitude and professionalism. The activities she does with them are diverse, interesting and fun for the kids. They go beyond the usual run of soft plays and playgroups... last week was strawberry picking!
Even when things getting tough (and messy!) she's there for the kids. My son found it very difficult to settle in, yet she stuck with it and helped him though several weeks of tears when he first started.
She has been very flexible, helping with pick-ups and drop-offs (brilliant, as we're a one car family and it's often used for work).
Her house is clean, tidy and well set up for the little ones. I would whole-heartedly recommend Angela, she's a great childminder.
