Playdays is an excellent nursery in Wickford. My little charm started attending when he was 1.5 yrs and was very well cared, loved and played.
He is a fussy eater but still they managed very well with his feeding and working along side me .. very very supportive staff and clare is awesome ,always friendly and helpful in need.
Over all I would say it’s a very very happy place for our loved ones..😊

It's a scary time, as a parent enlisting someone to care for your child. However our fears went immediately once we met Clare, Ian and the 'team'
They have been taking care of our son for almost a year now and we are truly thrilled by the kind, considerate way in which our son is cared for.
One thing I appreciated the most was that Clare and Ian planned activities tailored to my son's needs which really helped with his development. In the months building up to him starting school they also made sure he was familiar with the route to school, the morning routine and even made sure he was confident carrying his own bags to school.....it's all the little things that make such a HUGE difference.
My husband and I always appreciate the texts and messages as well as the new newsletters that keep us up to date with new activities, policies etc.
Moving to the new site has been incredible for the older children (breakfast and after school clubs) and the facilities are outstanding.
Above all else my son feels safe, cared for and loved. What else could we ask for?
I don't think we thank you all enough for your hard work. You truly are all amazing!

My children have been coming to Clare since the beginning of 2014.
We made the descion of looking for childcare when i decided to go back to work and i was very scared i would never find the 'right' people to look after my children. The moment I met Clare and her staff i feel completely at ease anf welcomed and I knew i had made the right choice.
All staff and the children within Clares care are lovely, very friendly and well mannered. My husband says it is a home from home for our children who always come home happy and can not wait to see them after a day off.
Clare and her staff get to know all the children on a one to one basis and they now know exactly what my children do and do not like.
Home cooked meals and text updates are all fantastic. Well done Clare, you are great!
I would recommend to anyone who wants friendly, loving and caring childcare for their children.

I had been sending my boys to Clare since 2012 until recenlty when our contract for childcare was terminated without full notice. The reasosns given for this terminatiion do not ring true with myself and my husband, and we feel that after taking on several staff, who seem to just appear that Clare has taken on to much.
This used to be a friendly run childminding service and is now more a busy hetic business.

In response to joannecox poor review that was noted about myself.
Parents, please note that due to our strict behaviour policies, we had no alternative but to terminate the boys contract. BOTH parents were notified of incidents that occurred, on one or more occasions.
We have been looking after the boys as stated above since 2012, and they were very happy and enjoyed every minute being in our care, and treated like one of our own. We found ourselves in a very difficult situation in having to terminate the contracts, but had to make the right decision that we felt best.
It was unfortunate that the relationship then has broken down, since terminating contract under the circumstances. We all feel let down by the parents comments.
We would like to wish the boys and family all the best for the future.
Clare has been caring for our little man Jack since he was 5 months old and it was the best thing we could have done.
Financial needs pushed me back to work earlier than I would have liked and before my husband and I found Clare I was struggling with the idea of leaving my little man with anyone.
The day we met Clare and Ian a huge weight was lifted from our shoulders as they were warm, welcoming and made our Jack smile the minute he met them.
Clare is brilliant with Jack; he is showered with attention, well fed, happy and developing quickly. He was premature but with Clare’s support he has caught up,
I get daily updates within Jacks contact folder and when home get to see for myself exactly what he has achieved. I also get pictures and texts throughout the day so I feel like I am involved in Jacks routine.
Leaving Jack with Clare and the family is truly like a home from home for our little boy, I could not have asked for anymore and can 100% recommend Clare to any parent that needs a childminder.
My husband and I would be lost without you x

Clare started looking after my baby boy; Jake, from 5 months old and I can’t explain how happy I am after finding her on this site.
For me, having to go back to work and leaving my baby with a stranger was a big worry and a stressful time. However the first time of meeting Clare and her family all the worry instantly disappeared. She made my partner and I feel comfortable and confident in her ability to look after our baby.
Clare is amazing with Jake and I have no problem in handing him over to her for the day knowing that he will be looked after and provided with plenty of attention. She also aids his development i.e. sitting up, rolling over, weaning etc.
Clare is so friendly and kind and you can tell that all the kids in her care (and the parents) think the world of her. Her home is welcoming with smiles all around and you truly do become one of the family.
I would 100% recommend Clare to any parents who are looking for a childminder.
A massive thank you to Clare and her family – we truly are lucky to have found you!!

Clare looks after my 6 year old son and my 3 year old daughter and I consider myself very lucky to have found such a fantastic childminder. Both my children love Clare to pieces and cannot wait for Monday to come round which as a working parent is a huge weight off my shoulders knowing they are in a very safe, loving, fun and caring environment. My son is a fussy eater and it has never been an issue with her, she can't do enough to make my children feel at home.
Personally when I was looking for a childminder my instinct told me to go with recommendations and I cannot recommend Clare highly enough.

My son was 12 months old when he started going to Clare's 2 days a week, it only took him a couple of weeks to settle in to the routine of going and now stands at the door Monday & Tuesday mornings eagar to leave the house and get to Clare's. Clare has only ever made me feel confident in leaving Ryley with her and the family. Her little girls and other school children all adore Ryley and he loves playing with the 'older children'. Clare has been nothing but flexible with her care for Ryley and he has developed in leaps and bounds. I feel lucky to have found such a lovely childminder that I and my baby both love.

We have known Clair for the past three years. Clare provides excellent care for our beloved children, and we feel completely at ease leaving them in her care. We are particulary happy with the way Clair has helped our 5 year old son in his preparation for school. Clair has spent alot of time with Jack since he was 3 years old, and we credit her for the wonderful reports he has been getting from school.
Our children love spending time with Clair, she makes the time away from us fun and in fact we sometimes finding it hard getting them to leave. Clair treats them as part of her family. She even pops in on weekends and drops of stuff that she thinks will help them with there school work.
I have complete confidence in recommending Clair's service's; and can honestly say it is a great comfort leaving our children with someone who is as passionate and enthusiastic as we are.

Clare has been looking after my daughter who is 8 for about a year but my daughter and me have known Clare for over four years since both our children started school. She is kind, caring and treats the children in her care like one of her own. My daughter loves going to Clare and this really puts me at ease knowing she is safe and happy. Clare provides a hot cooked meal and dessert which makes it so much easier knowing that my daughter is being fed a hot, nutrious meal just as if she was at home. Clare loves all the children in her care and plans out lots of activites, my daugher especially loves making cakes (and I love her bringing them home!!!!). She is a vary patient and caring person and I cannot fault her care. I would highly recommend anyone to use Clare. Her care is second to none and I look forward to my youngest being in Clare's care when she starts school in September. I wouldn't want her anywhere else.

I have known Clare for nearly 5 years and she has been looking after my two children for some time now. I have a boy (8yr) and a girl (5) and the care Clare provides is second to none. The things that impressed me most was her innate ability to communicate with children and immediately put them at ease. She is kind, accommodating, and genuinely cares for the well being of my children and makes a special to get to know them individually. She is firm, has sound morales, and makes their stay with her fun and creative. They often come home with things they've made and to top that off, she is an excellent cook! Clare's offering of a hot meal after school was a big win for me too and certainly beats a "snack" at an after school club. My children receive a healthy, home cooked meal and dessert and are looked after in a warm, safe, home from home environment. They seriously don't want to leave when I pick them up! I trust Clare implicitly and highly recommend her service.
