FIVE STAR - highly recommend

I highly recommend Paula and Shannon.

My son started at Paula’s setting when he had just turned two. I was nervous sending him, especially due to him being very shy around new people. However, seeing how happy the other children were during the first drop off/collection put me at ease straight away.

The setting itself is beautiful, offering the children an open indoors and outdoors space and a range of toys to play with aiding their learning and development. I could not believe how quickly my son progressed being at Paula’s. He went from not speaking much, to putting sentences together, singing ABC and counting . He became more confident and developed beautiful relationships with the other children.

Paula and Shannon both have a very caring and attentive manner. They make the children feel at ease and a part of the family from day one. Although they are busy, they always had time to give a detailed hand-over at collection. Paula also provides updates throughout the day, keeping you informed how the children are and providing pictures of them participating in activities. Me and my son loved looking back at the photos at the end of the day, while he would be telling me about all the fun activities he had participated in.

My son attended Paula’s for a year and a half. Unfortunately, we had to leave due to moving area. My son often still reminds me of the fun he had at Paula’s and talks about the friendships he formed there. We will both miss Paula and Shannon dearly. I cannot recommend them enough .

Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Paula and Shannon. My daughter has been so happy with them.

Paula offers a fun, warm and caring environment. She gets to know the children well and is always thoughtful of my daughter and her own individual needs. It feels like a lovely big happy family and it’s so reassuring to know she is being happily looked after while we are away from her.

Paula has been great from the outset with helping my daughter settle in. She continues to be great with communication and keeping us involved and is always there for any questions we have (mainly helping us translate our daughters toddler-ease to hear more about the fun things they have been doing!). She’s always been caring and supportive to us through my daughter’s time there. It is clear that the children there have lots of fun and feel well looked after.

My daughter loves telling us about her friends there and the things she has been doing. She’s made great friendships and close relationships with Paula and Shannon. She’s flourished under her care, becoming a chatty confident and happy little person.

We are very glad we picked Paula and are very grateful to her and Shannon for all they have provided for us and the positive influential role they have played in my daughter’s development.

Fantastic childminder

I highly recommend Paula and her assistant Shannon.

My little boy was cared by them from 14months-3.5 years and he absolutely loved going.

They take great care of the children and provide a range of activities and outings to help their development, learning and most importantly they have a lot of fun.

Paula was great at encouraging our late walker to get going on his feet and supported him when potty training. We particularly liked how much time the children were able to spend outside in the garden and the trips they took the children on.

The children form very close relationships with each other and have a fantastic time together.

Paula provides a warm, happy and family feel setting and good communications on what the children have been up to throughout the day.

Paula and Shannon became a very important part of our family and have played a big part in our son's development - thank you both!

A fantastic childminder! Highly recommend!

Paula is reliable, fun, loving, and a hard-working childminder for our daughter.

Paula has an excellent understanding of the needs and abilities of children and is warm, nurturing, and responsive to our child.
She has always brought a professional, thoughtful, organised, and expert approach to the care of our daughter.

Paula has a great choice of toys to play with which has aided Lila’s learning. Paula always takes great attention to the relevant up to date learning aids and also the national curriculum. Paula often lets the children play outside and in a very safe garden with extensive number of toys and games. Whether Lila is playing indoors or outdoors, Lila’s safety is always Paula’s priority.

Paula always has time for us when collecting Lila to discuss the day and all the exciting things they have done. She always sent us messages telling me how her days has been and whether she has gone to sleep.

I would highly recommend Paula’s childcare and am very happy with all the progress she has made!

Couldn't recommend Paula more highly!

Our son has been with Paula since he was a year old, and he's now been there 9 months. We are really thrilled with his progress - he can name colours and shapes, sing songs and count objects. He has also learnt to say his please and thank yous! He happily goes in when we drop him off and it's clear Paula ans her assistant Shannon have a great relationship with the kids.

Paula has a lovely, bright and very clean house with lots of toys and activities for the children to occupy themselves with. There is a great garden so the kids spend lots of time outdoors. I love getting photo updates on all the things my son has been doing throughout the day. Paula and Shannon also take them out on little trips during the day which is great.

All of the children seem so happy there. I love going to collect my son as you can hear all the kids having fun and playing together. I particularly like that Paula looks after some of the primary school children after school as it means my son gets to spend lots of time with older children. He is really confident around older children and I think he learns a lot from them.

I'd highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a caring, funny, friendly childminder who really brings out the best in children.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!

My son has been going to Paula's 3 days per week since he was 9 months old. As a new mother, I was very nervous about placing him in childcare when I returned to work, but Paula made it easy for me to feel confident dropping him off from the start. Her home is warm and welcoming, and my son was made to feel like one of the family from day one. We have been so happy with the progress he has made there - interacting with other children in such a positive and nurturing atmosphere has been wonderful for his self-confidence and social skills.

Paula has a warm, natural, laid-back manner with the children and interacts with them as real people, which helps bring out their personalities and builds their self- esteem. Shannon, her assistant, is enthusiastic and energetic, always ready to get down to the level of the kids and engage with them in play. They are both sensitive and responsive to the children, always modelling good manners and able to use their authority in constructive ways (e.g. redirection rather than punishment). It is no surprise that all of the children in the setting appear happy, relaxed, and confident - they all show respect for one another, and if ever one of them is upset for any reason, the others are encouraged to quickly cheer them up (and they do!). It is obvious that my son enjoys and looks forward to the time he spends there and that he feels a strong sense of belonging.

The setting is highly professional and well thought-out, with toys/books placed at children’s eye-level, and displays of their work/photos on the walls. There is a large garden space with a well-equipped play area. The downstairs area is open-plan and overlooks the garden, making it easy to observe the children at all times. There are always a variety of creative activities organised for the kids (e.g. baking, arts and crafts, seasonal activities) and they often come home displaying crafts they have made.

Paula is always communicative throughout the day, sending regular updates and photos of the day's activities (in addition to keeping detailed records on the development of each child). Paula and Shannon make a wonderful team and choosing them for childcare was the best decision I could have made.
The standard of care they provide is second to none and I cannot praise them highly enough. I don’t know what I would do without them!!

first class childcare

Paula has looked after both our boys from the age of one. We can't fault the care she has given them both and the support she gave us in the early days of being anxious new parents. She provides a warm, loving, secure and fun environment for the children in her care. It's lovely to arrive at the door at pickup time to hear happy laughter drifting from the back garden.

Excellent childcare☺

Our daughter has been with Paula since she was 10 months and she's now nearly 3 and a half. The care she has received has been of a very high standard and we could not ask for more. Our daughter settled in quickly as Paula has great routines and she has been supported in all her development. I think our favourite thing about Paula is that she offers a very caring and homely environment, Izzy is very happy and Paula has been like a second family to her. Thank you Paula!
