Excellent team and setting!

It is with a full heart that I write this review for Monika, Paula and team at Happy Daisies Nursery. Our son began his journey here when he was just under a year old, and now, as he leaves after a year, we are filled with gratitude for the care, love, and nurturing environment he’s received over the past year. From the moment he arrived, the team made him feel safe, loved, and happy. Their patience and dedication to his growth emotionally, physically and intellectually, have been truly remarkable.

Watching him develop his social skills, confidence, and curiosity during his time here has been a joy. The bonds he has formed with his teachers and peers have made such a positive impact on him. The setting is full of different facilities for play and learning and are super clean!

Thank you to everyone at Happy Daisies for your unwavering support and for creating such a warm, welcoming space where our son could thrive. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we will forever be grateful for the strong foundation you've given him in these early, formative years. You’ve made such a difference in his life, and we will always hold you in the highest regard.

A nursery like no other- simply the best

My son attended this setting from when he was seven months old and whilst I was aware of how wonderful and nurturing the environment was based on experiences of family members, Monika and her team never failed to continually impress me with the level of care, love and attention they provided to each and every child in the setting. My son absolutely thrived under their care and careful supervision and is now in school but still looks forward to the days he can go to Happy Daisies in holidays. He has settled into school really well, and despite being the youngest in the class as he is born in August, he is progressing really well because of everything he learned at Happy Daisies. The credit for his love for reading, learning and playing creatively instead of being stuck in front of a screen goes to Monika and her team. The team have always explained why they did certain activities and how they help children's development and often gave me ideas of what I could be doing at home to continue to support my child's learning. Thank you for helping to give confidence to our children to tackle new challenges and embrace them.

My little daughter now goes to Happy Daisies, I never even thought about sending her anywhere else as I know that there is no other place where my daughter will receive as much as care, love and attention as she does here. My daughter started off very young but I was never concerned about how she would settle in, she was happy from day one and to this day continues to give the biggest smile to any of the ladies when I drop her off. The whole team goes above and beyond to make children happy, focus on their emotional development and teach them essential skills to make them independent. They provide a clear structure to the day and I love that they explore different themes, religions and cultures to help broaden the horizons of the future generation, and make each child proud of the culture they come from. They help the children focus not just on phonics, reading and writing etc but also on developing social skills, taking a very holistic approach tailored to the needs of each child to help them to flourish and thrive.

The team have always provided me with feedback, telling me when things are going well but equally informing me when certain areas need to be addressed and have worked with me to help the development of both of my children. We receive photos everyday which brightens our day and we are given the work that the children do in the setting at regular intervals. Monika and the team ensure that the children get plenty of fresh air and outdoor play in a safe environment and have lots of freshly made food, fruit and veg as snacks to ensure that the children have the best food to fuel their minds and fill their bellies.

All of the team here have always supported me and my family and it is thanks to them that both of our children are so happy, curious and kind. This setting really is home away from home for the children, I don't know of any other setting that provides as much care and love to children or any other team that shows so much kindness, compassion and understanding as the ladies in this team. They have always supported me with my children without any judgement and always have my children's best interests at heart. I cannot recommend this setting enough, there is no other place in the world that I would send my children!

Highly Recommend- certainly outstanding.

Our son started attending Daisy Childminding in February 2021, at the peak of the second wave of Covid. As a first time mom, I was concerned about my son going for full days to a care setting. In our assessment visit itself, I knew this was the right place for him. He was comfortable and responded as Monika interacted with him. It was calming to see him engage so easily with her. During the settling period, Kasia, his keyworker, was warm and welcomed him with big smiles each morning. Except a few seconds on the first day, my boy happily went in each day of his first week. I was supported to continue with breastfeeding through bottle fed which helped him settle in. The staff team also built on his sleeping skills and we noticed his sleep improve over time.
The team also ensured his dietary needs were met- offering a good variety of vegetarian meals. The food is freshly cooked and smells amazing. I have never once had to worry if he has eaten!

Over the past two years, my son happily walks out of home each morning, ready for a day of fun and engaging activities. The day is structured and we have seen our son learn a number of life skills from dressing (wearing his socks, shoes, t-shirt), eating (using cutlery) to self care (washing hands and toileting). At 2.5 years, Monika informed us that he will move up to the toddler room and we noticed his language skills grow tremendously in a short span of 3 months. We love the variety of activities in phonics and numeracy he accesses. He has begun to show interest in reading at home too, reading number plates, and letters on groceries and clothing. So glad to see the love for reading being instilled so early on.

We really look forward to our lunch time updates via photos and videos of his day. These bring us tremendous joy, allowing us to have conversations with him at end of the day. The team communicate honestly with us, sharing difficult moments experienced as well as achievements of the day. They are patient, consistent in discipline, and open to feedback. We have greatly appreciated this cooperation.

It is evident in their every interaction that looking after the children is not just a job for them. There is genuine love for them. We noted this specifically how his 1st birthday was celebrated by them. I was truly moved. We come from a Hindu family and I was very pleased to see how Diwali was celebrated in the setting. He was exposed to the religious stories and songs. The team being bilingual is also an added advantage, as it ensures my son understands different languages are spoken by different people, and to learn his mother tongue. He is encouraged to be proud of his roots and ethnicity.

Monika and the team (have been very supportive of our family, showing flexibility and allowing our son to attend different days when work commitments required me to switch days. This type of support is unheard of in bigger nurseries or chains. They have gone above and beyond to help, and even got us back home when our car broke down!

I would not hesitate even once to recommend Monika to other parents.

Amazing setting

My LO was at the setting since she was 1 years old and I have been in touch with all of the girls Monica, Paula, Dora and Kasia. They are all incredibly nice and loving individuals who provided incredible care for my child. My LO settled there very quickly and smoothly, always accepted with smile and hug, and never double thinking about going there. Quite the opposite she would always ask if "today is the day for Monika House". Now 5 years later she is at school and she cannot understand why should she go to school and not to Monika's place where she had great time.

The great things about Monika's setting is not only the care but also the carefully chosen activities. Always planned and tailored around the different seasons or celebrations. My LO learned so much in there through play and was always happy to do so applying it at home too. Her imagination grew incredibly and even now she still enjoying the play with dollies, dinosaurs or whichever comes to her, organising different settings to play with them.

The setting also provided freshly home cooked food which my child adored and preferred to my cooking :). From including her in the making of different biscuits, cupcakes to organising her birthday and celebrating it with freshly prepared cake by them :)

Another one amazing thing is the huge garden of the setting transformed as play area. It also has sheltered area for play in the cold or very hot periods and swings and slides for them to enjoy. My LO has tones of pictures sent from enjoying it and she looks incredibly happy to play there with her friends.

Last and not less importantly, I was updated on daily basis of how is she, what food she had and I had received incredible amount of pictures demonstrating her playing with friends and enjoying the day.

Amazing Childminders - Simply the Best

Our son has been going to Monika's since February 2020, and we are so happy with the setting.
Monika, Paula, Kasia and Dora are wonderful, and care for all the children so well; they make their time spent there fun, educational and exciting.
We are kept well informed about the daily activities and his progress, which we can then discuss and reflect on with him in the evening. We are really happy with the range of activities, which includes free play as well as more structured activities based around different themes which change weekly. He practices his writing, phonics and counting with engaging activities. There is also a huge garden and covered outdoor area, for outside play, which he loves.
Our son enjoys eating at Monika's, and has all his meals there on days he attends. As a vegetarian, he is well catered for and he enjoys the wide and varied menu, and the healthy snacks. He really enjoys the homemade soups for lunch.
Our son always looks forward to going to Monika's and has even asked us to pick him up later on a Friday so he can spend more time with his friends.
He has so many opportunities and input into his development and it is wonderful to see him grow and learn through photographs sent to parents daily, and seeing his collection of works, which are sent home every few weeks. Most recently, our son's reading skills have notably progressed, and he is really eager to practice reading his books, and signs when we are out and about. I have no doubt that a big part of this is the learning he is exposed to through phonics, worksheets, writing practice and group reading time. I am confident that he will be well prepared for reception, when he starts school. We are hoping to get into Deanesfield school, so that he can continue with wrap around care at Monika's.
We are so happy with the care and attention he gets at Monika's and he is so settled and happy, and always looks forward to going to see his friends.

Outstanding in every way

We use Monika's wonderful setting for both of our girls - our eldest is in year 1 and attends the setting before and after school, and during school holidays when required, and our youngest is two, and attends the setting full time.

We couldn't be happier with the setting we have chosen. Our youngest has shown huge development in her colours, counting, fine motor skills and her social skills. The range of activities provided is broad and exciting – painting, sorting, patterns, water play, baking, dressing up, dancing, singing, reading, to name but a few. Our eldest is supported in learning her spellings each week, and working on her reading, as well as arts and crafts and the chance to play with the other children to keep her busy after school.

In the setting the children learn about all of the religious festivals and other key events (recently this would include the Queen's Jubilee, for example) and the staff in the setting celebrate these things with the children (music, dancing, special food where relevant, costumes) which they all enjoy so much. It’s also a testament to the fantastic diversity of the children and families who use the setting and it’s wonderful to see our children learning about and celebrating other cultures and traditions. The Christmas celebrations were amazing, and Santa even came to visit the children to sing carols and have a Christmas party!

There is a wonderful outdoor space, including a huge covered area so the children get out every, single day regardless of the weather. The summertime was especially brilliant for our eldest who enjoyed playing in the paddling pools after school to cool off from the heat.

The staff are beyond brilliant. Kind and caring but also upholding gentle and appropriate discipline. The bond between our girls and the staff is very clear with cuddles at the end of every day, and my eldest is always keen to share her achievements and news with them. We receive photos every day of what our children have been up to, as well as a short written report about how they have been, what they have eaten, nap length and anything else to note.

The food is of exceptionally high standard and quality – and I think the staff must be miracle workers given that they get our girls eating everything from tuna to beetroot, which they will now eat happily at home too (and wouldn’t have touched before they started at Monika’s!) Junk food is kept to a minimum and only provided on special occasions, but the girls always enjoy the home made cakes, fresh fruit and yogurts as their treats.

Every single child is made to feed extra special on their birthday when the front door is decorated with their name and age. There is then always a birthday cake and all the children and staff sing happy birthday.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with this wonderful setting and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to any parent looking for a kind, caring, nurturing and developmental setting for their child.

Outstanding childcare provider

Monika and her team, Paula, Dorota and Kasia have looked after our 2 children for over 6 years now and I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing, stimulating, loving and nurturing childcare that they provide. Our children love going there and I am impressed by the high level of pre-school teaching they also provide- teaching the children through a wide variety of activities. The childcare setting is always beautifully clean and the food provided varied and nutritious, including healthy snacks. As this is a fairly small setting Monika and her team have a very close relationship with us too and there is always an opportunity to discuss any concerns either they or us might have about the children. Many thanks to Monika and her team for all the wonderful care they have provided for our children!

Outstanding

My daughter started at this setting when she was 2 years. This was during lockdown which had a massive impact on her social skills and confidence. She was scared of vehicles on the road and would be anxious if people walked towards her on the pavement.

I wanted a place for my daughter which was small enough that would ensure that she gets the maximum 1 to 1; yet be big enough to force her to be amongst a group of children and adults. I was very impressed when I visited the setting for the first time. The way Monika spoke about the children, the setting made me feel that she knew all the children inside out. It was clean and tidy and the outdoor facilities for the children in the garden was a massive highlight.

My daughter attended the setting for a year and a half and she grew and grew in confidence. The care and attention, the variety of play and creative activities geared towards the children's intellectual, social and emotional development cannot be described in words. The daily photos sent to me of my daughter of all the activities that she did was very much reassuring. Meals are freshly prepared which was extremely important to me.

In short, they look after the children as their own and when my daughter left the setting, she was ready for school and was so confident that she would sing and dance for an audience.

I still send her whenever I struggle with child care and if ever they could do pick up from her current school, I would not think twice about sending her there and would jump at the opportunity.

Great Childminder

Been with Monika, Paula, Dora and Kasia for over 4 years, never crossed my mind to leave. Now my little one goes to school and still we use Monika's setting pre and post school and during the half term periods. We get daily info on meals and how our child has done over the day. In fact as other parents have mentioned our child eats EVERYTHING and ANYTHING here that once at home wouldn't even touch! How do Monika and the girls do it??? I am very happy with the food choices and the fact it is cooked from scratch plus the fact that they do cooking activities with the children like baking as it is an important skill to acquire. In the morning when she wakes up she says We are going to Monika's!!! and over the weekend she looks forward the weekdays to go back and meet all the other children and minders, she had her favourite that changed with time, first was Dora then Kasia now she loves Paula to the point that when asked if she wants to spend the night there our child says YES!!! We have noticed the improvement in her development as Monika works very closely with the children to make sure they become independent in daily activities and she is very patient and supportive with them. As my child has been there since aged 1 I noticed lots of milestones achieved with Monika in speech, walking, fine motor skills...
The girls go the extra mile when it is someone's birthday celebrating with them in the setting, making the child feel so special meanwhile all the others feel great to participate too. Monika also teaches them about different celebrations in different cultures which is really nice as the children group is diverse and is nice to learn about others.
There is one big major fault I would say, and it is they close for holidays!!! We need you girls all year round, but I really think you deserve your break as you go the extra mile for each one of the little darlings in the setting. I wish I could attend too, as the play area outside is like a mini theme park sooo amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE 4 OF YOU.

One of a kind

Our two children are in this setting and we feel extremely privileged to have found it. Monika, Paula, Dora and Kasia are like extended members of our family, they have a huge amount of love for our children and the setting is really a home from home. 
The setting has excellent facilities, a fantastic garden and outdoor learning space and vast amounts to keep the children entertained both educational and fun. We receive regular photos and updates throughout the day which means we feel part of their day. My children have excelled being in this stimulating and nurturing environment.
A particular benefit of the setting is the food - it is all freshly made on site and my children love it. They prefer to eat there than at our house! It also means that when we get the children home we can focus on quality time with them, rather than worrying about feeding them - it is invaluable.
I haven't experienced anything like the level of service and care we get from the team and we couldn't be happier with the service. Our children love it, and so do we!

Beyond amazing

My son, Mark has been at Monika’s setting (Happydaisies) for four years and has blossomed during his time there. The team, ethos, and caring environment are all very heartwarming. Paula, Dora and Kaisa are fabulous staff they care so much about the children, every day there is a new activity or experience planned, and he seems to be thriving from the variety. It was great to see Mark so excited about going there. Mark has enjoyed all his time at daycare, and we have been incredibly and superbly impressed with their nurturing, caring, and professional approach to children. The general communications from the team in Monika’s setting are also exemplary.

Thank you so much for all you have done in making our son feels comfortable, cared for, loved for, and most importantly, safe.

FANTASTIC CHILDMINDER

I feel privileged to have had the opportunity of sending my daughters to Monika’s setting. After my first daughter was born, I searched and searched for the right childminder, and just when I was about to give up, I was recommended Monika by a friend.

At our first meeting it just felt perfect! All the children there were happy, engaged and enjoying the variety of activities on offer. My daughter settled in immediately, which made going to work a lot easier for me. The regular updates and photographs throughout the day meant that I could feel involved even when I wasn’t there.

The nursery is extremely well equipped and each member of staff plays a vital role. Food is prepared daily with only the best ingredients (my daughters loved the food there more than they did at home!). Monika and her team are by far the best I have ever met. Nothing is ever too much and they regularly go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that every child’s physical and emotional needs are met.

The quality of the education provision is excellent! Both my daughters have had a fantastic start to their education, with daily stimulating activities which follow the EYFS curriculum. The children love the variety of activities and are encouraged to explore the world around them through play. Monika has a unique gift of recognising each child’s individual needs and supports them in their development. My daughter even took her first steps there, which Monika managed to capture on camera.

Each and every child is loved and safe in Monika’s care. She ensures that they all feel part of a large family and that is what makes her setting outstanding in every way. I have worked in education for 15 years and can honestly say that Monika’s setting provides the best care for children and gives them a great start in life.

Monika and her team of superstars, Paula, Dora and Kaisa, are more than just childminders, they have also become great friends. We have recently moved country and the most difficult part of our move was saying goodbye to Monika and the girls. I cannot thank them enough for all their support over the years.

The most wonderful, nurturing environment

Monika and the girls are so unique in their approach; each and every child is special to them and they understand exactly what each child needs to make them develop, blossom and be happy!

We started to send our son here from when he was 7 months old, as my niece and nephew had also attended Happy Daisies and their parents could not recommend Monika and the girls highly enough; they were full of only praise for the team and setting. Even though I was aware of how amazing they are here, they continue to impress me with how much they love, nurture and personalised care they provide for children here. My son is so happy, every morning he looks forward to going; he started off so shy and reserved and has now developed into a laughing, happy, curious little boy and Monika and the team have played such a big role in this.

They provide such a stimulating environment to encourage development, so many different activities and plenty of outdoor play when possible to get children in touch with nature. I have seen my son develop so much since attending here, he is provided with everything he needs and more; fun, friends, nourishing food and plenty of love.The whole team is so lovely and always so positive. They are able to provide help and advice when needed with no judgement and we feel so blessed and lucky that our son is able to come here. I am never worried about him when he is with Monika and the girls as I know that he is being looked after and cared for just as much as when he is at home, which says everything! Thank you Monika and everyone at Happy Daisies for bringing such joy into our lives!

Absolutely amazing

Monika and all her assistants are absolutely amazing, they are passionate and really care about every single child. My both daughters didn't want to go home and they have received so much love and attention from Monika that I could never ask for.
I would recommend Monika with warm heart as I have never met anyone like her and until now I am struggling to find childminder as she has put my expectations very high ♥️
I can call her "second mum" for my children.

Beyong amazing

My son and daughter were with Monika’s from the age of 1 years to 4years. They continue to go there in the holidays now aged 5 and 8.
Monika provides an excellent service giving the children a well stimulated , caring and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop. I feel confident and safe leaving my children with her. Both kids enjoys, loves and looks forward to going to the setting.

Monika and her girls sweet, warm and very professional. House was always very clean, food amazing ( homemade) she provides amazing routine for all kids. My son could play outside a lot ( as he loves to be outside)He was always happy to stay with her. I've never had any problems with her, she was always open for my suggestions , ready to help, very patient . I would highly recommend her to anyone. If you really want to find someone you can trust, choose Monika

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!

I don't even know where to start this review. Monika and her team of wonderful, caring superstars started looking after my little boy when he was 10 months old. Monika was recommended by a good friend of mine and even though we lived far away, as soon as we met her we knew that this was the place we wanted for our son.

The nursery environment is unlike any other nursery and childminders we had visited (and we had visited many)! The girls genuinely care and love each and every child in their care. The go over and above the call of duty to make your child feel safe, loved, cared for and nurtured. As if that wasn't enough, Rhyan developed and thrived so well with Monika. He is an August born child and so the youngest in the school year and it is only with Monika's brilliant approach that Rhyan passed all the 3+ entrance exams we sat him for and he got into (the incredibly difficult to get into) Highgate Pre-Prep!

Monika provides a very unique setting where nurture and education are of paramount importance to all who work there. The education the children get there is excellent and so much more advanced than anywhere else, it really does prepare children so well for their school journey. Rhyan attended Monika's from aged 10 months until nearly 3 when he started at Highgate Pre-Prep.

Even though we have moved far away now (Finchley), we are still bringing our little one to Monika's as we could not dream of sending him anywhere else.

The food is amazing, freshly cooked and healthy with lots of fruit and veg. Monika personally texts each parent with photos and anecdotes throughout the day. HAPPY BABY, HAPPY PARENTS! We genuinely could not have dreamed of better childcare for our precious children.

Thank you Monika and the team, you are absolute stars!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!

Monika and Paula have been looking after my daughter since she was just over 8 months old. She is now 4.5 and still with them joined by her little brother who is now 1.5. I work quite far from home so I can’t stress enough how important it is for me to know that my kids are in good hands and are happy spending their day with people they love and people I can totally trust. All the girls working with Monika are very attentive, caring and loving. You can feel how genuine their behaviour is and it makes you appreciate their care even more. And kids absolutely adore them and cry (literally!) when they have to go home! I can see how hard they all work but they are always cheerful even at the end of a very tiring day. I could not praise all the girls enough. I would recommend them to anyone who has any reservations about leaving their children looked after by other people. Any worries I could have had, just disappeared the moment I realised how happy and joyful environment they create.

We regularly receive photos and updates re: kids wellbeing and progress. If anything out of ordinary happens, we would be informed or asked questions. At the end of each day we know all about activities during the day, naps taken, meals eaten (always freshly cooked meals, fresh fruit with natural yoghurt etc.).

I could not recommend any other place more genuinely than Monika’s place. It's the warmest, safest and funniest place on earth. It’s like your kids are in a paradise while you’re at work :-).

Happy baby

My wife and I are first time parents, and in September 2011, we were in a position where wh had to start leaving our 1 year old daughter with a childminder. A friend of mine has his son go to Monika and Paula's and he is a very happy baby. From his recommendation I also approached Monika and Paula, and we began leaving our daughter with them.

Both Monika and Paula take extremely good care of our baby, and she is very happy there. Our daughter always look forward to going to the childminders and for the first time i have noticed that on arrival, she totally ignores me, and runs off with either Monika or Paula. I guess this goes to show how happy she is there. Monika and Paula are so good at what they do that our daughter does not seem to miss not having either my wife or me with her.

Due to our work requirements, on occassions, we have to drop our daughter off early. Monika and Paula are very accomodating for us and have changed their routines to suit ours. I do not think any people would do this.

I could not recommend another childminder more highly than Monika and Paula. I regard myself as being lucky for finding someone like them to look after our child.

They are great.

Extremely happy

Monika and Paula Look after my daughter who is one year old since the beginning of September this year. They came highly recommenced from my cousin whose son they looked after for 4 years.

Both are the best in what they do, always polite and have excellent manners. They are the kind of people children should be around all the time. The passion and love they have for their job is simply amazing. They love the children under their care as if they are their own. i know my daughter is well looked after when she is at their care. i have no worry when i am at work, i get regular text messages from Monika on the things she does throughout the day.

i would recommend Monika and Paula wholeheartedly. i am extremely happy with the way my daughter is looked after and its the best decision i have made for best interest of my daughter.

A godsend

Monika looked after my son for 2 days a week from the age of 10 months until he started reception a couple of weeks ago, aged 4 and a half. I knew within a few minutes of meeting Monika and being in her home that she was the right person to look after my son. Her reassuring and calm manner made it easy for me to return to work knowing that he was being looked after so well and I knew he wouldn't be bored with the variety of activities Monika provides.

My son was always happy to go to Monika's because he had such fun, love and security there. At the end of each day, Monika would let me know what my son had been doing that day and how much he had eaten and slept, etc. I have loved walking towards Monika's house at the end of the day and hearing all the children laughing.

I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Monkia and Paula. They have both been godsends.

Wonderful Care

Monika looked after my daughter from the age of 5 months until last month when she started the school nursery. My daughter was with Monika and Paula for four days a week from 8 am until 6pm and I was always extremely happy to leave her with them. Monika was always very flexible if we needed to work late or start early, which was such a help for me when I first went back to work.

Monika treats the children in her care as a mother would treat her own children. All the children are loved and looked after very well, and she also provides home cooked food . Each day she runs interesting activities for the children to do such as cooking, crafts and painting, and has lovely toys both inside and in her garden. My daughter was always very happy to go to Monikas and often asked at the weekends if she could go those days too!

I would not hesitate to recommend Monika as a childminder if you are looking for care for your children of the very highest standard. We were extremely lucky to have found Monika and very grateful to her for the care she gave to our daughter.

Brilliant

I have known Monika for just over 1 year and she is currently looking after my son who is 20 months.

When I first went to see Monika and her setup I was very impressed with the service and facilities that is provided. My son is in her care3 days a week from 7:30 until 6pm. My son settled in easily in just the first week of being in care with Monika and Paula, I ‘am extremely happy and pleased and cannot fault the care that my son is provided. He has developed so much in just the first few months and loves going there.

Monika provides a warm, safe and stimulating environment for my son, and a wealth of activities that I know has had a direct impact on his early years development, namely painting, drawing, sticking, making things, baking, dressing up.

In my opinion my child is in good care and would not hesitate in recommending Monika and Paula to other parents, it’s the best decision I have made and feel very lucky that my child is in their care.
