About Me
My name is Vicky and I live with my husband John and our two children who are aged 12 and 7. I have been an ofsted registered childminder since 2019. And I absolutely love it, i am very passionate and dedicated to giving children the best experiences and high quality care. Whilst supporting children to learn through play, following their interests and the early years foundation stage which is the curriculum for under 5s. We are a very outdoors setting. I take the children out on many adventures. lots of local attractions such as Rosemoor, little stars, world of wonder, beaches, forests, forest schools, musume, music groups and toddler groups. I also have a dedicated play room and a good sized garden where I provide lots of learning experiences and free play for the children in a home from home environment. I am open Monday to Friday 7.30am till 6pm all year round. I am able to care for children from birth to 11 years. I childmind from my home in the Devonshire park area of Bideford. From September 2025 i will be charging £5.50 per hour. I offer all year round childcare to non school aged children. As well as before and after school care for children attending east of the water primary school. I also provide a holiday club. I accept tax free childcare. universal credits, three and four year old funding of 15 or 30 hours and two year old funding. I will also be taking on families wishing to use the new 30 hours funding for babies aged 9 months. which is coming in from September 2025. All funding and fees will include all activities, outings, ressources and enterrnace fees and snacks. I just ask you to supply nappies, change of clothes and a lunch box, bottles and baby milk for under ones. My Experience
I started my early years career at aged 18 and over the past 20 years I have worked in two private day care nurseries before branching out on my own. I have experience with working with children from birth to 11 years as well as being a Mum myself. I have also had some experience with working with children with special needs. I have two children of my own so I know how precious our children are and how it can be difficult to find the right child care provider. I have lots of experience in delivering the early years Foundation stage.
My Qualifications
Nvq level 4 in children's care learning and development. First aid trained which is updated every 3 years and I have a dbs. I have safeguarding level 2 and a cache level 3 qualification in how to work in home based childcare. I hold a full clean driving licence. I also regularly attend evening zoom and face to face training to keep up to date.
My Availability
I currently have spaces available from September 2025 due to school leavers. I am available from my home from 7.30am till 6pm Monday to Friday but always ask if you require anything outside of these hours. I work all year round and take about three to four weeks holiday per year which is given out a year in advance and usually in the school holidays. I also don't work bank holidays and don't charge during my time off.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50 per hour for non school aged children and £5 per hour for school children. Sometimes a sibling discount can be applied to school aged children only.
