I have been child minding since 2006 and gained an 'Outstanding' Ofsted grade in my first inspection and then again in 2011 and 2016 and 2022
My aim is to provide a warm, homely stimulating environment in which children can learn, play and have fun. I encourage children to be confident, independent and to develop their self esteem.
I have recently completed the Hygge in the Early Years Accreditation and work in line with the Wanderlust Child Nature Study.
I am committed to providing a quality reliable service that offers children a nurturing environment, my aim is to ensure children feel relaxed, safe, secure and happy within my care.
I have an excellent knowledge of the Early Learning Goals, which is reflected in my planning. Each activity is adapted to every child's individual needs and development. Making play challenging and exciting helps each child reach their highest potential. I am passionate and fully dedicated to offering the highest quality of education. My provision is forever evolving to ensure continual growth ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children within my care . Recourses are from sustainable sources including items from the natural world, wooden, pre loved and authentic items. I allow children to experience real objects and provide a large array of loose parts to promote curiosity, exploration, imagination and problem solving from an early age. I encourage positive attitudes to learning through celebration of achievements, whether they are academic, social or behavioural which are shared with home as 'wow moments'
I have been married for twenty eight years and live with my husband Robert and our three children Jay, Max and Freya. We live on the Bramley Grange Estate. within easy walking distance to and from Bramley Grange Primary School.
My Experience
I gained my N.N.E.B qualification in 1991 and since then have been involved in many aspects of childcare, From working in a Shoppers creche to managing a private day nursery. Before registration as a childminder I worked for eight years at Thorpe Hesley Infant School as the Nursery Nurse for the Foundation Unit. I have been minding since November 2016 and never looked back.

Both of my sons have been with Catherine from pre school full days to after school sessions. She is fabulous! Goes over and above what is required, provides a happy and welcoming setting with lots of educational activities greatly thought out. Themed topics and outdoor adventures. Catherine accommodates additional needs superbly and creates an inclusive environment full of happiness. Both Billy and Charlie loved going. Absolute class act. Outstanding provider.

I dont even know where to start with this woman.
I am absolutely heartbroken my son has had to leave catherines childminding (hes going to school).
She is the kindest most caring loving person anyone could wish for in a childminder.
She loves your children like they are her own.
She is so so generous in every aspect.
catherines home is a warm friendly environment and her family are so welcoming. My son felt just at home when he was at catherines.
Not only does she provide a loving friendly environment but her creativity and activities for the children are absolutely outstanding. My son was ALWAYS doing a different activity when he went. Catherine is very “involved” and “hands in” with the children always exploring activities with them.
Catherine has an absolutely fantastic creative inspirational set up for the children

My 2 children ( age 3 and 6) have been with Catherine for 3 years and she has been absolutely brilliant. The kids look forward to going every day and are excited to see her, the other children and what new activities she has planned for them. She has an organised daily routine so all the children know what they need to do and when in order to get them all ready and taken to school on time. She is a familiar face at Bramley Grange and is happy to communicate between school and home. The home setting is a friendly atmosphere with the personal touch and Catherine is like a second mum in my absence, she is caring and loving to all the children. All activities are well planned to suit the needs of all the children of varying ages and you receive daily verbal feedback on what they have been up to as well as a written log with photographs on a half termly basis for children under 5, which is both informative and makes a lovely keepsake afterwards. Catherine always has words of advice if you need them and is also happy to receive feedback and ideas to help your child progress. She attends a number of different play schemes during the day which my 2 have loved going to and have helped build their confidence meeting new adults and playing with different children. During school holidays she takes the children on visits to local attractions.
I would not hesitate to recommend Catherine, she is first rate and truly deserves the outstanding she received from OFSTED, my children never miss me during the day because they have such a great time with Catherine and the other children and it is home from home for them so as much as I am sad that my kids don't miss me, I am more than happy.... because they are!

Catherine has been my childminder for 6 years and she is amazing! She provides a stable, clean, loving environment for all of her children (including her own 3) and is incredibly supportive to all of her parents.
My son is due to leave childcare next week as he is old enough now to be a little more independent before going to secondary school next year.
Throughout the time that Catherine has minded for me she has been a tower of strength through difficult times, completely trustworthy and absolutely reliable. Her home is clean and tidy and all of her children are happy and healthy, she offers a structured learning environment and has achieved outstanding results at Ofsted inspection. She really is a credit to anyone who is fortunate enough to secure her services so be quick!
