About Me
Hello, I'm Sue.
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in a quiet cul-de-sac in Canford Heath, Poole. I have been childminding for 32 years and offer a safe, home based environment where children can learn and develop through play and other activities.
We attend children's centres, childminding toddler groups and childminding events where the children can engage and interact with other children. We make full use of the local area, going for frequent walks across the nearby heath-land area and visiting other sites such as parks, country parks, farm, beach, play areas, soft play etc.
I hold training certificates as listed below and continue to regularly update my knowledge with relevant training courses.
I am able to accept the government funding for all eligible children from 9 months to 4 years. This being 15 hours minimum per week up to 30 hours per week over 38 weeks of the year depending on your eligibility.
My daughter is registered as my assistant for occasional help.

My Experience
I have two children of my own. My son is 33 and has left home and my daughter is 27 and lives at home I have 9 nieces/ nephews and 14 great nieces/ nephews.
I have been a registered childminder for 32 years and I have babysat for family and friends for many years and have belonged to two babysitting agencies in the past.
Although I do not have a number of parental references on this site, I have many written references from all parents whose children I have cared for over the years for you to view. (Parents are also more than happy to be contacted directly to give you a verbal reference)

Sue was a brilliant find and we are so glad we our daughter had the opportunity to be cared for by her.
My daughter loved every minute at Sue’s, her days were filled with fun, learning through play and more fun! Sue is so caring, her daughter, Lauren is just as great and we were sad to say goodbye.
If anyone is looking for a childminder with a home from home environment, care as if your child were one of their own, Sue is for you.

Sue looked after my son for over a year, before he started school. She is amazing! I visited a couple of places before picking Sue, I'm so pleased I did! I was very anxious letting anyone looking after my son, but Sue reassured me and cared for me aswell as my son through the process. My son was so happy going to see Sue and on the various trips out with her. Sue is friendly, caring and a genuine lovely person. I always felt involved in my sons time with Sue, with regular updates and chats. She made the transition to school so much easier, with great communication and support. I can not thank Sue enough. I will definatly use her in the future and recommend to everyone.

After making the tricky decision to return to work once my daughter turned one, I met with Sue and knew immediately she was the right person to look after my baby.
Maisie has settled with her so well and is so happy when we arrive at Sue's home (and even sometimes cries when it's time to leave!)
Sue has made the whole transition back to work very easy for me, regularly updating me if Maisie needs anything and reassuring me in the early days of going back to work (that Maisie was settling well).
Sue takes my daughter to toddler groups etc and is always out doing activities, exploring and eases the guilt of me going back to work part time.
I would thoroughly recommend Sue, and would be happy for anyone to contact me for a reference.
