My Requirements

We're ideally looking for a cheery, reliably person with a can do attitude who can take on both child care and household duties. The work responsibilities would include: household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing etc. through the daytime; dropping off and collecting our children from school; having fun with the kids, taking them to different clubs, supervising homework and providing tea. A drivers licence and own car are essential. During school holidays the balance of roles will adjust to provide more childcare with a reduced amount of household duties. Our children are 11 and 13. They're increasingly able to be independent with their day to day activities but still need supervision to be close at hand and have someone they can rely on and trust when we are at work. We also have a dog, cat and 5 pet sheep so are looking for someone who is comfortable, although not necessarily experienced, with animals as the role will include walking the dog, checking the cat and sheep.

We are looking for support on Tuesday and Thursday, 7:50am to 6pm. If you are interested in the role with us but these hours don't suit you please do get in touch as there may be a possibility that adjustments could be made to our work schedules to accommodate this.

We would consider the opportunity to bring your child along. Our children’s drop off and collection times could be compatible with being able to drop off and collect your child from local schools. We would also consider bringing a well behaved dog with you.

We have employed 2 lovely nannies and a home help since the children were babies. We are still in touch with them and consider them friends. We are experienced employers and our previous employees would be happy to speak to you about the role and our family if this is helpful to you.

Formal child care qualifications are not required, experience would be preferential.
