About Me
Hello! My name is Abbie and I am 27 years old. I’ve left my job as a Social Media Manager in a Manchester agency to go travelling and have just returned. I’m looking for babysitting work during the day and/or evenings - happy to do (walking) school drop offs and pick ups, as well as full time babysitting/nannying or the occasional evening. I have a degree in French and Italian, a love for baking and can play the cello, piano and recorder - so hopefully there's a lot of fun to be had! You will see that I have had experience in numerous settings, from full time residential summer camps and hosting respite days for children with disabilities to ad hoc babysitting, with ages newborn to teenager.
My Experience
I began babysitting locally at the age of thirteen and have worked with families with up to four children since, the youngest of whom was just three days old. I worked in an after-school club for a year as part of my Duke of Edinburgh project at the age of 16. I then went on to qualify as a youth leader and led on residential summer camps for 140 children, running activities and providing pastoral support. Thanks to this training I was able to start teaching at my local Sunday School, where I taught classes of 9-11 children, planned lessons and helped on Sunday School trips as needed. More recently, I planned, established and ran a new volunteering group at my university to provide respite for families of children with special needs. We took the children (aged from 4-12) on trips - bowling, the local zoo, for a teddy bear's picnic in the park! - once a week. References are available for all of the above experiences.
My Qualifications
Educated to degree level in French and Italian (good for homework help!). Fully DBS checked, first aid certificate, safeguarding training.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £7.00 per hour
I charge £7 an hour for babysitting. If you would be interested in using me as a summer nanny or for after school care I am more than happy to negotiate of course.
