My Experience
I have over 16 years professional experience with children of all ages and abilities in a number of settings. I have nannied for multiple families (including with twins), worked in a specialist school, abroad, and in play schemes. Prior to my professional time in childcare, I have babysat for families since I was 15 years old, and taken care of my own younger brother. I have a Level 5 Counselling Certificate in Working with Children and Young People, Level 4 Maternity Nurse qualification and Level 3 Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning in schools which covers child development in many aspects.
As well as working as a nanny for various families and in childcare abroad, I previously worked as an Unqualified Teacher and Higher Level Teaching Assistant working with children with special needs, supporting children of all ages with a range of disabilities, specialising in autism. Here I managed a primary alternative provision for children with autism and challenging behaviours. I was responsible for planning and leading lessons, liaising with therapist, recording pupils progress, implementing care plans- inclusive of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and SALT plans, providing emotional and behaviour support as well as physical support, risk assessments and the safe use of equipment. I have training in TEACCH and SCERTS. I worked as a Care Manager with a Young Adult with PMLD at weekends, as well as babysitting his brothers on an adhoc basis. In addition to this, I worked as a play worker in school holidays.

Bekie is a brilliant nanny and babysitter, she is kind and playful but also calm and in control. She was the first person we trusted to look after our six month old son and immediately put our minds at rest as soon as she walked through the door, just generally with her demeanour but also happily talking through her significant experience and qualifications. She now sits for our toddler and new baby (not an ease task!) and we always feel at ease knowing that they are in Bekie's care while we are out.

Bekie was our first reliable nanny when the grandparent option fell through. She is kind, empathetic and cares about slotting right into your child/children’s routine. She is unflappable and no matter the mood your baby is in Bekie remains confident and kind. She’s great with doggos as well. I’ve recommended Bekie so many times to new moms as she was recommended to me by multiple moms when we first started looking for extra help. She’s so much more than an extra pair of hands.

Rebecca is kind, friendly, reliable and hugely experienced. She is a wonderful night nurse to our 4.5 month old daughter. We rely on Rebecca greatly, and she always gives the best care. We couldn’t recommend her enough.

I came across Rebecca’s profile on here as we were looking for someone to look after our 8 month old little boy for the weekend of our Wedding and he was also christened. I was obviously a little nervous as it was my first day handing my little one over to someone who wasn’t Family and especially on one of the biggest days of our life so I wanted it to go as smooth as possible. Rebecca, went above and beyond our expectations and we truly couldn’t have had the day of our dreams without her there!! Theo automatically LOVED her and her smiley face and warm, calm personality. She listened to his routine over the phone a few days before and put it right into action which wasn’t easy to put into place on a packed full on day. I would normally have been a nervous wreck wondering how he was when he wasn’t in eye sight but I felt so content knowing he was with Rebecca. She is not only fantastic with children but myself and all my family felt like we had known her forever. Do not hesitate to hire her :) xxx

Bekie has been looking after our 2yo daughter since she was 2 months old. She's incredibly reliable, responsible, and I trust her 100%. My daughter loves her and I often get pictures of them having a great time together! I can't recommend her enough!

Our one year old son absolutely adores Bekie! She is a kind, warm and fun character who is also a great cook! Bekie is reliable and organised and we trust her implicitly. She takes initiative and has taught our son lots of things, including some new signs and words. We would highly recommend her!

Bekie is an absolute treasure. She regularly looks after my 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son and they absolutely adore her. She is kind, experienced and professional. Bekie does so many activities with the little ones but is also really calming and settles my little boy to sleep with a magic touch. I trust her completely and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
