My Summary
About Me
Just had my ofsted inspection under the new framework ( nov 2019) and have maintained by Outstanding judgement . I have been registered for 19 years and provide a safe caring environment where your children can enjoy real life learning experiences like cooking, shopping, gardening, mealtimes together and outings. Stimulating activities will help in their learning to share and negotiate, developing them to their full potential. Childcare in the home is a much more flexible form of childcare. If your child feeling under the weather they can curl up and take it easy. I get together with 4 other local childminders and we take the children to the ball pit and sensory room. We also have themed 'messy' play where the children can enjoy themselves whilst learning with different media and materials. We have limitless fun playing in a large tray of bubbles, foam, rice and baked beans. Its amazing how their imagination takes over!

I am a National Childminding Association member and have been on a Childminders Preparation course. I have been first aid trained and have a full certificate. Bobby has been going to Jane since he was ten months old (now 20 months) and I wasn’t looking forward to leaving him at all, but Jane made it so easy for me.
She was lovely to speak to from when I first got in touch with her, in the lead up to him starting and when the time came amazing with Bobby making him feel welcome and getting him settled in with her and the other children. Now he gets so excited when I say we’re going to see Jane. He is growing into a happy confident little boy and I think a large part of that is owed to Jane.
She plans amazing days and activities every week, they socialise at play groups and with other children and we look forward to the daily photos on her private Facebook Group. Jane creates such a warm homely atmosphere, I feel like Bobby has ‘home from home’ care when he is with her.
Bobby comes home happy every evening, getting him out the door is the only problem!
Thank you so much Jane, for going above and beyond with our boy and his development.
Jane has been looking after our daughter Ava since she was 9 months old and we cannot recommend her enough.
Knowing Ava is in such capable hands made the transition back to work from maternity leave stress free. The regular photo and video updates that we get are fantastic, it makes us feel like we aren’t missing out.
Not only do we take comfort in knowing Ava is safe, in our opinion, Jane goes over and above what is required from a childminder. Every day is carefully planned and full of fun, educational activities. A lot of time is spent outdoors when the weather permits, which is something we think is really important.
Jane monitors the children’s progress using individual tracker books which are completed with such a lot of care and detail including photographs. We see these at the end of each half term when we can add our comments. It is an excellent way for us to monitor Ava’s development. Now at 2 and a half years old, the benefits of being with Jane and the other children are very clear. So much so that we have decided to keep Ava with Jane for longer rather than join a pre school just yet as she gets so much more with Jane.
The only difficult part is taking Ava home, as she never wants to leave! But it is a nice problem to have :)
Thank you Jane for being amazing.
Jane and her joint business partner, Jane are amazing. Leaving your child with someone you hardly know is a daunting experience, I went back to work when Brooke was 6 months old (I remember her first day well), I felt guilty and was very sad to be leaving her. Jane was supportive and understanding on every level – from me asking for constant updates throughout the day, to her beautifully written and meticulously documented end of ‘term’ reports, I am comfortable in the knowledge that my daughter is with someone who cares for her like she is extended family.
Having so much fun: Brooke has been with Jane for circa 2 years, and every day we turn into her road Brooke will shout “YAY JANEY CATS” – it is wonderful to hear. She arrives running up to Jane and cuddling her leg and leaves smiling blowing kisses.
Jane’s enthusiasm and drive is evident every day, from meticulously planned days out to equally fun packed days at home – the children’s safety and education is paramount. Through access to Watsapp and our private purpose set up Facebook page, I feel I am a part of Brooke’s everyday activities, I can see first-hand how much fun she’s having with Jane and the other children. It’s fabulous.
Nothing is too much trouble: from difficulty in getting Brooke to eat | try to various foods to any random ailments (colds etc.) she may have, Jane offers advice and support. Going the extra mile to help – which is very much appreciated.
Presentable and professional: Jane greets us every day in a very friendly and warm manner. She is always immaculately dressed and reminds us of up and coming days out (so we can prepare clothes for messy play, woods outings etc.). At the end of each day she will provide us with an update on how Brooke has been, any ‘issues’ we should be aware of and will even return washed clothes if Brooke has got messy during the day. Jane's house is immaculate and is safe for the children to run around and play with lots of space to express themselves.
Above and beyond the normal ‘expectation’ of a childminder: Jane devotes a huge amount of time and effort into ‘take homes’, things that Brooke brings home. We receive Sunflowers (which Brooke has grown from a seed), various ‘art’ works (which are now tacked to the fridge), Mother and Father’s day creations, personalised gifts which the children have made, written advice and notes about Brooke’s eating habits and things we can do at home to extend her culinary experiences, invites to meet with other mums to encourage networking and much more.
Development and constructive feedback: as mentioned above Jane provides a very detailed and well documented report on Brooke, which allows me to track her development. I can then encourage Brooke from home (i.e. counting, playing nicely, and letter formations etc.). I find this so useful and is a great aide for me to review how her development is improving.
Conclusion:
Jane is a 5* childminder – which is reflected in her rating. Brooke LOVES going to Jane’s and she loves Jane’s family (who are all so kind and welcoming, sitting down and chatting and inviting us into their home – on their time). Overall, I could not recommend this lady any higher. She deserves a medal!! Keep up the good work Jane, we adore you. I look forward to you looking after our next baby!! THANK YOU Jane x
Jane is an excellent child minder. When our son joined we were having problems with another setting and decided to change providers. We were a little apprehensive about how our son would settle having changed settings, but within only 2 settling in sessions he loved it.
Jane covers all elements of EYFS learning but goes over and above in our opinion. The children have activity filled days and spend time outdoors whenever possible. We have regular catch ups on his progress and can chart it through his learning journey. We also get all his artwork and lovely keepsakes from their time together.
The communication between us and Jane is faultless, we keep in contact via catch ups, a WhatsApp group and we've joined a private page so we're able to see what Jane has planned for the coming week and photos and videos of their daily activities which gives us a little window into his world which makes all the difference.
We are so happy with the care and learning our son is receiving at Jane's that we've decided to keep our son on longer and defer pre-school as we feel he gets so much at the setting. As Jane ensures the children socialise with other minded children at childminder get-togethers as well as play groups, we feel that he gets the best of both worlds.
Overall, we would say that a testament to Jane's childcare is how much our son loves being with her. She's an extension to his family and a big part of his life. We can go to work without a single worry and knowing he is in safe hands and happy. We couldn't recommend her highly enough.
My little boy is almost 7 and he has been with Jane since he was 6 months old. He absolutely adores her and her family and she is like a second mum to him. She goes above and beyond on every aspect of her childcare.
During school holidays she makes sure they go on outings to fun and educational places and the children are always happy and never bored. She has done a lot of work on her setting to ensure it is as child friendly and accessible as possible.
My child has made some lovely friends there over the years.
Polish is our second language amd Jane has made an effort to even learn some of the key words from my child.
As a working mum, she has really helped to relieve the stress with her flexibility and helpfulness.
My little boy says 'Jane is kind, fun, creative and is a lovely lady. She has a fat Pug called Frank who i love too'.
