About Me
I am enthusiastic, reliable person, who is highly motivated and an extremely keen practitioner with flexible enabling skills and achievements to provide care to a wide range of children. As a well-established experienced child care professional, I have operated with credibility and business expertise, working as an Ofsted registered full time child minder since 2006.
I aim to provide care in a safe and secure home meeting requirements of Ofsted ensuring the children are safeguarded. I have recently moved from Pamber Heath to Tadley and setting up house to accommodate needs for business. Initially I will be using the ground floor of the property to provide care for children which has a large open plan kitchen come snug area where I will provide care for children, provisions for sleeping areas will be made in the current Lounge or downstairs bedroom. The house has downstairs toileting facilities along with a large hall area for play too. Stair gates will be in place on stairs and utility area to keep the family dogs in their own safe space away from the children most of the time. I have an outdoor log cabin in the garden to use for childminding in the summer months and for messy play activities and hope this will be in place for Summer 2023. The children are in a non-smoking homely environment within a family setting with all adults having been DBS checked.
The children have access to a fully enclosed friendly secure rear garden with a patio which will house outdoor ride on toys,playhouse, sandpit, and outdoor toys to play when supervised.
In the family home we have two small dogs, Poppy and Willow , who are child friendly and are generally kept in their own space away from the children due to the ages of the children and being the same height as dogs. The house is located on a side road in Tadley with road parking for parents collecting and delivering children. The location of the property gives easy access links to Basingstoke, Reading and Newbury
My Experience
I have been Childminding fully since 2006, have cared for over 40 different children in that period. Some emergency care cover to long term care for 3 families for more than 6 years per family. Have care for several twin families from age one year upwards with another child of the same age (effectively triplets) along with other before and after school care. I have provided overnight care for one family for over 8 years on occasions due to parents work commitments. Following covid 19 I regrettably had to loose all children from school settings and reduced to preschoolers only, however due to reduced services and families providing own care I suspended my business to allow for the change of property and to set up at new house. I will now deal with under fives during term time and potentially do some holiday care for for schoolers. I endeavour to get out to groups in the mornings or take the children to parks, forest or walks on the common, attend the library for sing along, story time or rhyme time and messy play. I meet with other childminders at home and outdoors, we also attend a local forest school session or story walks once a month too.
My youngest daughter who is in last college loves helping with the children too and is doing health and social care at college course and also is a Young Leader helping with rainbows locally. She also does part time care with a local old people’s care home. An all round child friendly team support me when they are around in the house and the children love engaging with play and conversation with both my daughters when in the house. The eldest has her own daughter in care with me whilst she is completing a nursing degree and visits daily.

7.30/7.45am - 5.45pm Preschoolers Mon-Friday we had STAGGERED INTAKE DURING COVID with drop off/pick up at door policy with regular disinfectant and covid cleaning practice and good hygiene and regular hand washing practice for all age children and adults. Good practice is still in place.
Out of hours can be negotiated
Also registered for overnight care too for occasional needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Please contact to discuss as rates differ for daily rates/ part time/full time whether as pre-schooler or as a childminding seeting and preschool or tailored contracts where required for term time only or holiday cover only or 9 day fortnight cover.
Food - provide own for reheating or picnic lunches in summer . Drinks and snacks provided

Della was a fantastic last minute babysitter for our 1 year old. She was very responsive, professional and incredibly helpful. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Della minded my daughters for 8 years. My eldest was 4 and my youngest was 9 months old. They loved going to Della's. They became part of her family.
Della provides a safe, happy, fun environment with a variety of activities to keep little ones occupied.
The children that Della looks after are well behaved, polite and caring.
I have no hesitation in recommending Della as an amazing childminder

Della has been a childminder for both our children for 6 years and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable childminder.
Della's care is more than we could have ever wished for. Not only does she provide a safe and caring environment, but she also teaches them a number of values that we strongly believe in. Such as punctuality, responsibility and care for others.
They have never been late to school or even been rushed out the door to get there. Consequently they see school as a great place to be and do not start the day with negativity following a panic to get there on time.
Della provides a variety of entertaining activities throughout the school holidays such as Thatcham Nature Reserve, various parks, ten pin bowling, picnics, crafts, water play to name just a few.
Della's approach to working with us has also been extremely flexible, for example she dropped our daughter at Brownies each week.
Our children have been very happy with Della and so have we.
