About Me
My name is Mary I live with my partner John in a beautiful house in a rural location nr Uckfield. but easily assessable to Eastbourne, Lewes and surrounding areas.
I have two grown up children who do not live at home. I have two dogs who do not have contact with the children as they are too big and bouncy. I also have a rabbit and chicken who live together.
I grow all our own vegetables and get the children involved in this as well. I provide all home cooked meals if this is required and will cater for individual dietary needs.
The children have a large play area with separate messy play room and a quiet time/sleep room. I have a purpose built changing unit for babies.
There is a large garden which is well resourced, the house is surrounded by woods and fields which I have the use of.

I have 20 years experience in early years childcare and managed nursery schools for 10 years.
I have worked with babies 3 months to 5years of age.
I have just had my first OFSTED inspection and received 2 goods and 1 outstanding.

I was looking for childcare for my son when I went back to work - I was hesitant about leaving him and went to visit a few options. I stumbled across Mary's profile on childcare.co.uk and sent her an enquiry. She was quick to respond and soon after we went to take a tour. Both my husband and I were so impressed with her facilities and my son immediately warmed to Mary. He loved the rabbits and chickens which roam free, and my husband and I thought the outdoor area was incredible. Far better than any other place we'd seen. From that moment we were sold!
Since my son has been going to Mary, he's come on leaps and bounds. He's such a happy, social baby and he always gives Mary a big hello when I drop him off. He always comes home exhausted which means he's had an amazing day. Mary also writes a little diary every day - I love reading about what he gets up to.
I can't recommend Mary enough!

We are very happy we found Mary to be our son’s childminder.
Mary is friendly, always flexible and very caring. She has a nice homely environment and a beautiful garden where children can play. Our little boy loves playing outside and he is always so happy when staying at Mary’s three times a week. Mary lives in an amazing country setting, and takes our son on trips to the woods and fields to see the animals.
She offers him nice homemade food, and we prefer it to catering companies some nurseries use.
She provides for him lots of activities throughout the day and she supports him very well.
When we drop him off or pick him up we always see how much our boy loves being there and play with his little friends too.

I found Mary on childcare.co.uk. I was after homely, active environment for my son... and Appletree is exactly that!
Mary is very welcoming, and i feel confident my son is in safe, experienced hands every day as I drop him off.
Each day i get a update of everything he's done and wish i was there to enjoy it to, as it sounds so much fun.
He settled straight away and comes home happy and smiling...that alone would make me reccomend Mary to anyone :)

My son has been going to Mary for the last two months and I only have good things to say about Mary & her house. My son is only 9 months old and is not really talking yet but I know if he could he would only have good things to say. The house is cosy, full of toys and activities for small babies and toddlers and Mary is always happy and you can tell she really loves her job. She makes me feel confident and happy leaving my son in her care. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

We would like to commend Mary, as we think she does an amazing job and is absolutely brilliant.
Mary has looked after our daughter since she was 11 months old, she is now 2 and a half. Our daughter is part of the Apple Tree family and we wouldn't change it for the world.
Our daughter has so much fun everyday and comes back so happy, we cannot recommend Mary enough.
The house and garden/outside areas are set up so well that there is always something for the kids to do. They go out everyday and are part of caring for the chickens and rabbis that Mary has, which gives the children such a rich and varied day. Alongside that, they are guided through their early years education with gentle ease and a caring environment.
