About Me
My name is Cathy and my last 2 inspections have been graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. I have 3 children aged 28, 24 and 19. We are non-smokers.
I offer 15 and 30 hour funded spaces.
I also provide after school care collecting from Heatherside Infants and Juniors.
It is important that your child feels that this is their second home.
My Experience
I worked as an Ofsted childminder in Fleet for many years before moving to Spain. Once in Spain I worked full-time teaching young Spanish children the English language.
We as a family are fluent in Spanish.
In 2009 we returned back to Fleet, and I re-registered with Ofsted.
I have many years of experience looking after all age groups.

I am open from 07:30 - 18:00 Monday to Thursday. school holidays and during term time all day Mon Tues Wed and Thursday.

Cathy has been caring for our son for two years, since he was 16 months old. We have been very thankful to have had the care and support that Cathy has offered to our son and her flexibility in dealing with issues that he has had over the years, e.g. food intolerances.
Our son has loved going to Cathy’s house, which in itself is set up brilliantly for babies right up to school age, a proper learning and play environment for children to explore. Cathy ensures that her environment reflects the areas for early years learning and she provides regular feedback on how the children are developing according to their developmental milestones. As well as this, the children are offered many different experiences that I do not believe would be possible in a pre-school/nursery setting. The children have regularly visited forest school, the airport, the dentist and these are to name just a few. She ensures that they celebrate national events and even organised a jubilee party with upwards of 40 children, along with their child minders recently!
Cathy has high expectations for the children in her care. Good manners, kindness, self-care and trying their best are all things that we have seen with our son. Above all else, Cathy loves the children and has an excellent relationship with them; providing a warm and safe environment where we have watched our son grow. She is communicative and ensures that we have had regular dialogue to discuss our son, on a very personalised level.
We are very sad that our circumstances have dictated moving on to different child care and I only hope I can write a similar review in the future for someone else.

Cathy has been a godsend post lockdown as the schools were unable to reopen all their classes. My two Children (7&10) were nervous about their first ever childminder, but after a day came back enthusiastic and exhausted. Cathy has a natural and relaxed style, she's confident, cheerful and chatty. She's got a lovely garden and takes the children on local outings to explore and get muddy. It's been about a month now and Cathy has been flexible with dates and also takes childcare vouchers which is a bonus, given that money's a worry during these uncertain times. My children can't wait to go back... Thanks Cathy!

Cathy cares for our 2 children aged 1 and 4, and has done from 9 months in both cases.
I love how our girls are so happy to leave the house in the morning on their way to spend the day with Cathy :)
The setting provides plenty of space both inside and out (garden is lovely in summer).
Cathy frequently takes children out and about throughout the year where they see more of the world outside - trips to the library, park, soft play, forests, picnics. We take comfort from her extensive experience in dealing with young children, and will frequently seek her advice on a range of parenting queries!
We see the setting as a second family environment for our girls, where good manners are held in high regard and where strong friendships have been struck with other children.
The mix of age groups which comes with the wrap around care provided is broadening our daughters' friendships and helps build confidence.
We feel lucky to have found Cathy and would be more than happy to recommend her.

Cathy has provided fantastic care for my 9 month old son since he was 4 months old... He's grown to be a happy and healthy baby, who is not the slightest bit shy and loves everybody. Very happy!
