About Me
First and foremost I am the mother of 3grown up children and am happily married to Michael.
We live in the Heysham area. I've been a registered childminder since July 2002. I enjoy taking the children on walks and to the local parks and weather permitting, trips to the beach. I attend local toddler groups so the children can socialise with their peers and can gain confidence outside the home environment. I'm within in 2 minutes of both Heysham Power Station and the Heysham By-Pass.
All the children I look after and that have been looked after, have integrated within my family and feel my house is home from home.
As an Ofsted registered childminder I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure that all children flourish and grow ready for the next step of starting school.
My Experience
I have been a parent for 26 years and a registered childminder for 21 years. In that time I've looked after children from as young as 4 months. I have looked after children of all different nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds. This has helped to increase my knowledge and understanding of all walks of life!
My Qualifications
I have achieved NVQ level 3 in Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding children
Food hygiene
Also numerous courses in relation to looking after children from birth.
Special educational needs course.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Thursday from 8.00 - 5.15 pm start and finish times can be negotiable. I currently have full and have no spaces available.
I am also eligible to do the 2,3 and 4 year old funding.

I work 48 weeks a year.
Closed on bank holidays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5.00 an hour. This includes everything except nappies and formula milk if required.
Unsociable hours are negotiable.
I also accept employers voucher schemes and funded early education hours.

Pam was recommended to us after Mabli had struggled to settle with another childminder. Mabli was 8 months old and due to lockdown had never been away from her parents. Pam made Mabli's settling in process as stress free as it could have been, she asked for familiar blankets that she could have on her when comforting Mabli and used her 'all about me' form to get to know her. This enabled Mabli to settle in very quickly and form good relationships with Pam and her family.
Pam gives regular feedback on Mabli's development and shares pictures of her day. Pam also takes the children out as regularly as possible, to the beach and local play areas.
Pam teaches the children about different festivals and celebrations, as well as completing craft activities, turn taking games and sharing stories. Mabli is always bringing home something she has been making, including a bird feeder and bonfire night painting.
Pam's home is calm and has been the perfect setting for our little girl.

My daughter has been with Pam for the past 20 months and it has been the best decision we have made with regard to her welfare when we are at work. I started off with her at a nursery which lasted all of 2 weeks due my dissatisfaction in the environment and general care being provided to my daughter. As I was a relatively new mum, my daughters welfare was paramount to me enabling me to feel I could concentrate at work, secure in the knowledge that my daughter was safe, warm, loved and having her development enhanced whilst she was away from me.
After the rocky start with the nursery, I was even more apprehensive regarding leaving her with anyone else.
Pam put our minds at rest from the beginning and invited us to her home, enabling us to meet her, her family and ask questions. Eve looks forward to going to Pam's home to be with her and her other friends that she has met through going there. Eve will often as where Pam is if she's not with her!
Eve has a comprehensive learning journey document that truly reflects how she has developed and how she plans to continue developing her in line with the curriculum.
Pam provides a homely welcoming environment for her minded children to play & learn in. I feel that we are also part of Pam's family and have formed relationships with all of them.
Eve has been on trips out, snacks and lunches out with her friends and enjoys walking with them, being taught how to be safe when out and about.
Pam's values also reflect that of our own as Eve's parents....manners, being kind and respectful are all traits in children which are important and encouraged and instilled throughout every interaction.
As a first time parent, I have sought a lot of advice and support from Pam and this has enabled us to make informed decisions regarding our daughters welfare, with the support from a highly experienced parent and registered child minder.
I would highly recommend Pam to care for any child.
