My name is Jeni and I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for the last 23 years.I am a married mum of 4 children between 17 and 27 years old.
I work with 2 assistants, my daughter Molly who has grown up surrounded with children and loves being a working member of the setting and Tia who is my niece and joined us in September 2024,her mum is a retired childminder so she has also grown up within a childcare setting.
I have always enjoyed my job and have cared for many children and remain in contact with most of them.I provide a loving home-from-home environment with home cooked meals,lots of activities,local outings and trips further afield for outings in school holidays.
My Experience
I have been registered for 23 years and have maintained a GOOD outcome on my inspections the last one in February 2023.I genuinely love my job and I hope this shows in the care myself and the ladies I work with offer the children,we support them and yourselves through the highs and lows of the early years and often onto high school.Its amazing to watch them grow and I love the updates after they've left the setting.
I have worked with children with ADHD,ASD and type 1 Diabetes and have experience with chromosone disorders.
My Qualifications
We all have a full DBS as do all my family members,myself,Molly and Tia have attended many courses with the early years team including child protection ,birth to three matters,food hygiene and Adhd.All three of us also have level 3 qualifications.
We all have full paediatric first aid training which was very recently renewed.
Molly has recently qualified as a SENCO so she undertakes that role in the setting ensuring all children receive the support they may need.
My Availability
We offer a Monday to Friday 6.30am to 6.30pm service,I'm happy to offer Saturdays when needed.
I'm more than happy to discuss hours outside these times.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £6.50 an hour during my normal opening times.This is capped at a maximum charge of £60 a day.
*please contact me for rates for holiday care /school age children as this is different
Evenings start at £7 an hour.
I am able to accept tax credits,childcare vouchers and the government tax free scheme.
I am also registered with the council to offer funded places for 9 months 4 year olds if your child is eligible I also offer the 30 hours extended hours.

I have my son at Jeni's setting for a year and a half now. I can not find nice enough words to thank Jeni,for everything she does. The day we went to see her setting,we knew she was the one we are looking for. Our son has shown a great improvement in his social, motor skills and communication. Jeni always keeps them busy and happy with amazing activities. Our little boy had become a part of their family , he absolutely loves going to Jeni's with no drama from day 1. Thanks Jeni for fantastic job.

Jeni is the Childminder of my little one since he is 8 months old. She i an incredible person and my son loves her. She is doing so much for him and with him. I will be lost without her.
She is so thoughtful, helpful and friendly. I will never Thank her enough.
I will, without any doubts, recommend her.

I have Jeni as my son's childminder over 2 years now.
I remember going to meet her and I felt that great connection from the day one.
I have always been impressed with the level of care she has shown with him. Her calm, friendly nature means that he is always happy to go to her and she always is pleased to see him.
My son is treated like part of her family. I can recommend Jeni without reservation.
