My Summary

i am 30 years old, i am fun, enthuastic and love helping people. I have 16+ years childcare experience ranging from babysitting, nursery nurse, room manager, nannying and I wedding crèche nanny for 40/50 children. I have many skills and qualifications that can help with your needs.
I hold a level 3 and an extended level 3 diploma in childcare and in addition I hold a level 2 paediatric first aid certificate. Alongside a recent clean dbs check as well as other certificates including, food hygiene, fire safety, prevent duty and more. Please drop me a private message with any questions or inquiries.
My Experience
I qualified my Level 3 Diploma (in July 2013,) as a student at college in work placements. Within a week of qualifying I was offered a full time role in my placement as deputy room senior of the baby room. The children were aged 6 weeks- 18 months. I ran the baby room for the summer holidays and during the October half term, due to the room lead only being term time.
Then in November 2013 I took on the role of Toddlers Deputy Room Lead, in which I was running the room on a day to day basis. I had to not only plan for the individual needs of my key children but also complete room plans for the week, as well as making sure that all the paper work was up to date and filed away when completed.
I then moved to a different nursery in May 2016 as a level 3 practitioner. By March 2017 I was promoted to toddler room lead. At this setting I had more responsibilities and control over ensuring the environment was enabling, resources were suited to our age range. In addition I had to complete risk assessments and was able to take the children out on planned walks; to parks, to the pet shop and to the market. In this role I also got to take charge of the supervision meetings for staff within my room. Which was then fed back to management to help develop my team and other ideas we had for the room and our age of children.
I have also had some experience in a school with foundation stage up to year 3's during my college placements.
Then in late 2018 I took a change in career for a few years, I still had my babysitting on the side with my regular families as well as building up new clients. I changed career to running a pub which I was turning into a family friendly pub, by supplying toys, activities and family fun days or activities. These events could host from 20-90children and their parents. Age range 2 months-14year olds. I would put on games, activities, messy play, cake decorating, arts and crafts and much more.
In 2023 I returned to childcare as an after school nanny for a family, the children were 7 and 9. This role involved me in doing school pick up, helping complete homework and projects, finding fun activities to do together. As well as cooking their dinner and some light household duties. Due to wanting more hours I returned to a nursery role to work alongside the nannying role, however one of the children I was nannying for then changed schools making it very difficult for me to fit everything in. So I unfortunately had to make the decision to leave the family and go back to nursery full time.
I am now in based in a preschool (children aged 3-5,) however I do also help cover breaks, staff absences and holidays within other rooms if needed.
I come from a large family; 3 younger brother and 3 younger sisters, so i have gained a lot of experience through them. I started babysitting for family friends at the age of 13, due to them seeing how responsible and mature I was.
Over the years I have had experience working alongside children with speech delays, behavioural challenges, children with disabilities, children with special educational needs, children that are EAL in addition to some deaf children too. I have picked up skills in makaton, British sign language, how to deal with challenging behaviour etc.
I am looking into being OfStead registered.
