About Me
Open 7am-6.30pm with some overnights and out of hours available, morning, school day and wrap around sessions available.
We are a small home from home environment, following Montessori and Hygge theories, using open ended resources, having lots of outdoor adventures in nature, we are very experienced with allergies and intolerances, recognising each child as an individual, we are curiosity inspired and child led, we use the amazing outdoor areas locally and plan outings in the school holidays. A low ratio setting using the idyllic woodland and forests surrounding. We supply all meals, drinks, cups, bottles, nappies, wipes, cream, sun creamer etc, parents supply a few changes of clothes and we wash and reuse so parents do not need to pack a bag unless they want to or they need to supply reusable nappies, breast milk etc.
My Experience
My name is Becci, childminder at Woodies early years, I’m 32 and have been in childcare for over 19 years, I trained within a pre-school and school environment whilst at college gaining my diploma in childcare and education levels 2 and 3, helping children with additional needs and working with small groups. I then moved on to nursery work mainly baby room but sometimes with funded two year olds with more complex needs. I have babysat since then for newborns and up, overnights and for weeks whilst parents were on holiday. I nannied privately for a lovely family with school age children, helping with homework and running the household. I went back into nursery work and ran my own room according to the EYFS, attaining first aid, safeguarding, food hygiene, health and safety and various other courses along the way. I have worked for a care company where I have attained my care certificate and medication training for anyone who needs care including disabilities, children and elderly. I have worked in a care home alongside childcare, I have nannied for several families since then and have managed a baby unit of 20+ under twos and now have my own childminding setting with assistants.

This lady is a friendly, bubbly girl who is brilliant with my kids. I have 2 older girls age 11 and 8 and a son of 13 months and she is great with all 3 ages. Shes reliable and caring. Shes qualified in childcare and has alot of experience. I was worried about letting someone look after my children as my son has special requirements. I would recommend her to anyone.
