About Me
I am a Ofsted registered childminder and have an NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education. I am orginally from Notttingham but now live in Cockermouth with my 2 children. I have 3 older children who have now left home and moved away. My son attends Cockermouth School and my younger one attends Fairfield Primary School. I have a large down stair space comprising of dining room, kitchen, play room and access to a large varied outdoor space.
My Experience
I have the been raising children for 20 years so have lots of hands on experience. I offer a warm, calm and caring environment with lots of fun activities.
I have worked the local Pre school and local school.
I completed a NVQ Childcare and Education 3 and am always updating my knowledge through various methods.
I add daily photos and information on the messenger service called Signal to reach the standards required by Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is available for you to view at the end of the week.

Paediatric First Aid training
Safeguarding Certificate
Local Cumbria's Introduction to Quality Childminding Course
I also have training in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management Course and various training in Complementary Therapies.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Wednesday from 7.30am to 5pm. I work term time and school holidays.
I can drop off and collect from Fairfield Primary school and All Saints Primary School.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.70 per hour
I currently charge £5.70 per hour per child. Please contact me for further charges ie. sickness, holidays.

Cirrus cared for our youngest child from the age of 1 to 3. He was always relaxed and happy to spend time with Cirrus, settling easily into her established routines. Cirrus attends a variety of groups which enabled my son to socialise in different environments. Cirrus provided a fun and educational variety of activities in her setting using her organised outdoor and indoor spaces. She has lots of toys which are well maintained and age appropriate. She has a calm and gentle approach to child care and communicated well with us throughout the 2 years. We would not hesitate to recommend her services.

Cirrus has looked after Connie from 10 months and we have been more than happy with the childcare! Connie enjoys going to Cirrus and has access to varied activities whilst in Cirrus' care.
Cirrus always provides a detailed, daily diary online allowing is to access pictures and information on her development. She has also been flexible with us on occasions when we have had changes to our childcare- we would highly recommend Cirrus.

Our daughter started being looked after by cirrus just before she was 2, despite being a clingy child who didn't like being left she settled with cirrus immediately. Cirrus provides excellent care and also educational and development opportunities appropriate for each child. There is a lovely calm and welcoming atmosphere and our daughter always knows what is expected of her. Cirrus has supported us with any queries or concerns we've had about how to look after our daughter (such as potty training or manners/sharing). We would highly recommend cirrus to anyone needing a childminder.
