About Me
Registered for 20 years to care for children from birth to teen. I have 2 children aged 23 and 30. Setting is large detached house with enclosed private garden.
I work based on the ethos followed by The Curiosity Approach, Hygge and Wanderlust and build my pedagogy and curriculum around them. I provide the children with a full range of activities and experiences both indoors, outdoors and out and about. Children experience wholesome, home-prepared food daily. I provide "wrap-around care" covering before, during and after-school care and holiday care too. I am OFSTED Registerd and a member of PACEY.
My Experience
Apart from being a mother of 2 children I have been a full-time childminder for over 20 years. My eldest, 30, has Autism and suffers from complex mental health issues that come attached to this, despite this challenge, has managed to attain 3 A Levels and studied Film Production and Studies at University of Winchester.She is also transgender. My youngest daughter, 23, completed an apprenticeship in Early Years Childcare at a local nursery and now works at a local school for children with additional needs.. My husband has worked in hospitality, catering and retail for all of his working life. I have experience of caring for many different children including those with Aspergers, ASD, eating disorders, allergies, special educational needs, delayed hearing/language, dyslexia and behavioural disorders.
My Qualifications
NVQ3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, Certificate in Introducing Childminding Practice, First Aid for Childcarers, Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering, GSCB Inter-Agency in Child Protection, Level 2 in Safeguarding Children.
My Availability
My hours of opening are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. (Standard charging hours 8am - 6pm)

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Standard hours @ £8.00 (under 5s) or £6.50 (over 5s) per hour inclusive of all meals, drinks and snacks (except special dietary needs when additional costs may be added). I am able to provided free of charge 1/3pint of milk per day per child under 5. A discretionary charge may be asked for to cover things such as extra-ordinary trips/excursions, Forest School membership, Hoppity Poppits, indoor/outdoor play centre visits etc.
Outside standard hours (weekdays) @ Double hourly rate.
Before-school @ £7.00 per hour or £10.00 from 7.30am to drop-off.
After-school @ £7.00 per hour or £15.00 upto 6.00pm.
I offer the 15/30 hours Government Funded Childcare for all eligible 2/3/4 year olds but this is subject to availability of spaces and I am able to limit the number of funded hours available to fit around my setting's needs.
