About Me
Hi there, My name is Vivian but everyone calls me Viv or Vivy. I have been married to my husband mark for 25 years. I've recently moved from Romford to Daws Heath, I have been a childminder in the Romford area for 24 years. I have 5 children, a son of 33 who lives up north, a daughter of 32 who is local to me, a daughter of 31 who also lives up north, I have a 25 year old son who also lives locally, and another daughter of 24 who lives at home. i also have 4 grandsons. I have 4 Boxer dogs who just love everyone that enters my home. My back garden The dogs have a separate part of the garden which is walled off and they are trained to do all their potty business up there, that leaves the garden totally safe for everyone.
A few things that I like are:
Girlie films, dancing, all types of music, documentary channels on tv, shopping in toy stores, forest walks with the children and dogs, marmite on brown toast, any kind of fruit, the snow, the smell of freshly cut grass, a big cup of green tea and bourbon biscuits in bed on Sunday mornings, yum!!
My Experience
I have child minded within the Barking and Dagenham borough since 2001. I have worked as emergency cover within Rush Green Pre-School and I have also worked voluntary within Rush Green Infants School as a classroom assistant. I have been a working mum and also a full time mum so i completely understand the needs and flexibility that parents will need.
My Qualifications
I keep up to date with any courses that Ofsted requires me to do, to keep my setting running smooth and safe. I am pediatric first aid trained, have a certificate in fire safety, food hygiene, birth to three matters, developing EYFS profiles, safeguarding children and child protection, plus many more than can be seen at your request. I am generally most months topping up on courses to keep me up to date with the governments and ofsted requirements but it never normally interferes with my availability hours. I usually attend the courses of an evening or weekends. all adults that live in my home are CRB checked. I am also a member of PACEY (used to be NCMA) and have full insurance.
My Availability
I am available every weekday, Monday through to Friday. i am available from 06.00am till 18.00pm. (I do not work weekends) I only cover Rush Green Pre school, nursery and primary school as I am already committed to drop offs and pick ups there, I can not cover other schools.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
my fees will totally depend on the amount of hours or days that i am required. it will depend on weather you are a shift worker or taking up the odd days or a full time placement, but Generally my fee starts from £6 per hour.

My son was with Viv from 18months old until he recently started school. I had no worries at all the second time round when it came to finding childcare for my daughter and started her from 10months! Viv and her family have been such an important asset to our lives. From emergency childcare, to responding to late night texts regarding any concerns, Viv is so reliable. She keeps in contact, is so friendly and is always there to offer advice if needed. My kids absolutely adore her family and pets too. Everyone is always so welcoming. Her setting is more than a setting, it really is a home from home (but way more fun!)
For anyone considering using Viv, from the moment you meet her you'll be met by her beaming smile, loving family, and the most chilled out boxer dogs you'll ever meet in your life! You won't regret it!

I used Viv as my childminder for the whole time my boys were in primary school She has also looked after my other younger children as and when on the odd occasion too.
She is the loveliest lady you could hope to meet and find to care for your children. She is so friendly and personable and strives to do her best every single day. My children were engaged and really enjoyed their time with Viv.
She really looked after them just as I would and the boys felt it was their second home. She was never late or ill and is super reliable.
She helped with homework and reading and always kept me informed about their progress and day. Summer holidays were packed with lots of fun activities so I never felt the boys were missing out by me having to work which was really important to alleviate some 'mummy guil'
The best childminder I have ever used - the older children grew up with Viv and its only because we moved away from the area that she didn't have my other children full time.
Highly recommended.

My grandson was in Viv's care for a period of 2 years and during this time she played a vital part in his development which enabled him to grow in both confidence and build his day to day skills. Her calm friendly manner meant he was always happy and excited to be going her to her, which was reassuring for both his mother and myself as this allowed his mum to attend college and myself to continue working satisfied that he was well cared for and happy.
Viv also played a huge part in developing his manners and behavior, whilst also educating him in line requirements of her role.
To her, childminding is not just a job, she is considerate and understanding to all children and parents needs. The planned activities that she carries out with the children in her care are well organised and are not just confined to her home, trips to parks encouraged my grandson to develop his knowledge for nature and road safety.
I would not hesitate in recommending Viv to look after your child/children . She is 100% reliable, trustworthy and cares for children in a safe, clean, educational environment and the children receive nutritional balanced meals, whilst sitting at a table. She nurtures the children in her care whilst instilling good discipline. The toys and learning tools are in excellent condition and Viv has a wide breath of experience looking after children at different ages ranges.
I can not stress enough that I would have no hesitation in recommending Viv to look after your child/children without any reservations. I cannot thank you enough for the care and support and peace of mind that you gave us over the last 2 years, I could not of wished for a more caring professional to provide the care for my grandson you have played an important part in the early years of his life and we will certainly remain in contact with you so as you may see his progression.
Both you and you child will be the lucky ones to have her as a childminder, we most certainly were.

viv has been minding mt little girl for 7-8 months now and we absolutlly love her.
I really would recommend her, i was very nervous of leaving my little girl at first and viv really helped to put my mind at rest. we had several visits to get to know her and her family before my little one started,now we would not be without her.
viv is easy to talk to and is very good with the children she looks after, she is fair, taking all their needs and feelings into consideration. she is very on the ball espeacaly when she has 2 or more children.1 thing i really like about viv is she takes the time to talk about what they will be doing or what they have been up to and she really does support me with the things that are important to me such as stranger danger, manners and sharing and i feel we do work together on this.My daughter really has come so far in these months and a lot of that is down to viv. Me and my daughter both think she is great.

Viv came to my rescue last year when a friend who had been booked to care for my two girls got sick the day before . Viv was recommended by a mutual friend, so I gave her a call.....Thank goodness Viv was available, and absolutely put my concerns aside (I had no issue with Viv stepping in, I was just very VERY worried as my eldest who was 3, hates change). Viv spoke to me on the phone and talked me through her day, and completely put me at ease. The next day I arrived at Viv's early and we chatted whilst she played and "settled in" the girls. Viv was amazing I left her house happy and confident my girls would be well cared for, played with, safe and happy.
Viv even sent me a couple of photo's through the day of the girls playing, which was a really lovely touch and hugely appreciated.
I would absolutely recommend Viv, my only issue with her is she lives to far away, so I can't use her when my eldest starts school........
However, Viv has even looked into child minder's for me that are local. Viv really is a fabulous practitioner, and a great person.

Viv is an outstanding childminder and has cared for my son in the past and now my daughter. She cares for my child in a clean, secure and healthy environment. She has a huge range of toys to suit all ages and abilities and adapts play activities to suit each child. Viv teaches manners and always makes sure her minded children share, play together and have fun. You couldn't ask for a kinder, happier person to leave your children with.
