Our secure and friendly setting is fully equipped for indoor and outdoor play. We have a Playroom, an Arts and Craft room along with outdoor decking and grass area.
Our playroom offers a variety of small world play and role play, along with interactive and building toys. In this area we also have a dedicated book corner where children have access to a wide variety of books as well as one-to-one book sharing we also come together as a group in this each day to share a book, song time and story bags.
Our Arts and Craft room is set up so children can explore various art and craft materials and sensory and messy play. Our messy and sensory play activities include play with flour, water, jelly, shaving foam, rice, pasta, cooked spaghetti, sand and lots more. Children have access to paints and various painting tools, glue and craft resources to allow them to express their artistic side independently. Our playdough table offers various sensory experiences along with a range of accessible playdough tools and enhancement trays for children to create their own masterpieces.
Our decking area is partly undercover so we can be outdoors in any weather, in this area we offer children the opportunity to use their imagination in play with cardboard boxes and enhancement buckets which change termly or to children's interests.
Our grassed and patio area contains a sandpit, slides, trikes and bikes, mud kitchen, water play area and we also have a variety of accessible outdoor games and opportunity for den building.


Play activities:
On a typical day in our setting we get together as a group to share storytime and song time, we then all share snack together. Children the have access to free play throughout the setting where various activities are also on offer for children , these are usually liked to the main book we are reading for the term, special events or festivals which we are celebrating.

We all share lunch together where children are encouraged to eat independently in preparation for school also helping with tasks such as setting the table, pouring their own drinks, washing and drying the dishes as well as encouraging independent hygiene and self care routines such as hand washing. After lunch we share group turn taking games and explore the setting some more.
We go on regular outings during the week including taking children shopping where they all help find the items we need on the shopping list. we go on local walks to lakes, parks, various woodlands around the area and RSPB nature reserve to share our love for nature and the outdoors with the children and hopefully encourage them to love it too.

Meals, snacks and extras:
Snacks and meals are included. During the summer we have picnics children have individual packed lunches to give them the opportunity to open up their own lunch boxes, juice bottles, sandwich wrappers and yogurt's in preparation for school.

We do school pick ups from our local school Carrfield Primary academy

We have paediatric first aid and food hygiene and are constantly working towards various certificates and attending relevant courses.
