About Me
I have been a registered childminder for 28+ years. I work alongside another childminder, my partner Steve who is also a qualified teacher. We have 5 grown up daughters and 6 grandchildren between us. We look after children aged from 3 months to 11years.
We have a large conservatory that is dedicated to childminding and our living room is for quieter activities and chilling. We have an enclosed back garden and a range of outdoor toys. The children plant herbs, veg and fruit and enjoy caring for the plants as they grow.
Our setting is designed to be a 'home from home' experience with an emphasis on providing lots of fun learning experiences. We make use of local toddler groups, play areas, parks and regularly visit the excellent 'Book Start Bear' story and music sessions at the library. We also venture further afield to the zoo, the beach, museums etc.
We keep parents up to date with what their child has been doing with us with the Baby's Days online daily diaries that include details of meals, naps etc as well as how the child has been. We add lots of photos so you can see what fun your child has had. You can see how your child is progressing on the Baby's Days system and we welcome your input and comments.
My Experience
I have 28 years childminding experience. I have been a childminding mentor in a government 'buddy' scheme. I was the Chair of the town's childminding association and an active member of the borough's childminding network (before it was ended by the LA)
My Qualifications
To help me to give the children the best possible care I have attended regular training over the years to keep me up to date with childcare issues and guidance. I have a current Paediatric 1st Aid cerificate and Child Protection training I update these courses regularly. I have a Level 3 in Childcare and Education and a Level 4 adult teaching qualification. I have recently completed an ELKLAN Speech and Language course at Level 3. I also access training via the Local Authority and online courses and webinars with Childcare.co.uk.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
We charge £45 a day for a part time place and £42.50 a day for a fulltime place.
