About Me
Hi, my name is Esther, I am approachable, kind and caring and I have a passion for working with children of all ages.
In recognition of my work, I was honoured to be a finalist for the 2024 Nanny of the Year Award.
I would describe my nannying style as a mix between respectful parenting with elements of Montesorri principles. As a nanny I encourage independence and child led play - I thoroughly enjoy looking after children, arranging fun and enjoyable outings to keep children busy and active without the use of screens, but also like to plan simple activities to support their development. Whether that's through exploring the outdoors, swimming, visiting local parks or play areas. But also helping to develop children's creativity and curiosity through painting, reading, messy play, baking/cooking to name just a few.
I’m happy to assist with all aspects of childcare, including:
• Cooking nutritious meals from scratch and supporting weaning
• Organising clothes and toys
• Establishing baby routines and assisting with sleep training
• Managing bath and bedtime routines
• Researching and attending local groups or classes to support social interaction and development
• Babysitting and overnight care
• Potty training
• Helping with homework
• School/nursery drop-offs and pick-ups
• Accompanying the family on holiday
• Managing the children's laundry

My Experience
I have over 15 years experience working as a nanny, working with families whose children ranged in age from newborns to teenagers.
During my Early Childhood degree, I gained hands-on experience in nurseries, pre-schools, and primary schools, caring for children aged 6 months to 8 years.
From July 2021 to March 2025 I worked for a family with four children who were aged 1, 4, 6 and 7 years old when I left this position.
I am now working locally for a family looking after their 9 month old baby since April 2025.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies - 2:1 (2013)
A levels in Health & Social Care, Psychology and English Literature.
10 GCSE's A-C, including Maths, English and Science.
-Current DBS check on the update service.
-Clean drivers licence and my own car.
-Certificate in paediatric first aid - Dec 2024.
Happy to become OFSTED registered if needed.

- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
My fees reflect my 15+ years of professional nannying experience and my Early Childhood degree. This rate is in line with what I have been paid in previous roles and represents the high level of care, expertise, and dedication I bring to each family I work with.
