My name is rachel, I am 24years old and have lived in the Wandsworth area for most of my life. I have been working with children independently as a nanny and in nursery
Environments since the age of 16. I curerently hold an CACHE level 2 in childcare and up to date first aid certificate.
Through my years of being a nanny I have worked with varied ages of children from 0 months to 9 years, so have gained knowledge of children's needs and abilities across a broad range.
I am a fun loving, energetic person which is always needed when entertaining children and making them feel comfortable. I am also consistent in discipline and following the parents and childcare guidelines for there children. I am punctual, reliable, a good team worker and willing to adapt to each individuals needs. I am also and animal lover so should a family have a pet, I can also tend to there needs should my employer need me to.
My Experience
Whilst studying level 2 in child care and education, my work placement was within a daycare nursery. Once qualified they employed me to work there full time.
I then went on to do 6 months temporary mothers help for a lovely family of 5 for 2yrs. My role in the house hold was shared care between mother and myself for two boys, 3 and 2 years and a new born girl. I helped with daily routines, music class, swimming, and lots of activities whilst mother took time out for each child.
I then got myself a part time nursery job in a Montessori nursery for 4years.
I've done Babysitting for a family of 3 for 3years until mother had another baby. Then I became their sole charge nanny from 12 till 6pm. Both children are now in full time education. Then went on to after school pick up for them 3days a week.
