About Me
My name is Maria Denson, l live in Widnes, as a mum i understand how important it is to find the right person to look after your child. I am registered and inspected by Ofsted, which i recieved a grading of good.I am fully qualified in childcare. I have been nominated Child Minder of the year and all adults including myself have had an Enhanced Disclosure. I have a large living room and large purpose built conservatory which are both used for Child minding and a garden with plenty of play equipment. There is an extensive range of toys, equipment,resourse and creative crafts for childrens age range 0 - 11 years.
My aim is to provide an excellant standard of care in a fun, safe, happy and secure homely environment for your child/ren to explore, learn, share and achieve the best of their potential through play, following the Early years foundation stage.
Children will have the opportunity to attend play groups, play areas, parks, feed ducks, local area events, library, sensory rooms, music groups and days out.
All children will be educated and encouraged to eat a healthy well balanced diet, be active and enjoy fresh air.
My Experience
I worked in a nursery for 10 years from leaving school and completed my training. I then became a nanny for 3 years. When i had my first child, i decided to become a child minder as i love working with children and wanted my children brought up in a home environment havining fun with lots of friends. I have been child minding now for 20 years.

Marie, or as we like to call her ‘Marie Poppins’ has been such a positive influence on our twin boys life so far. Every morning when Marie picks them up we feel at such ease that they are in perfect hands, we couldn’t be any happier with Marie.
In our opinion, visiting nurseries and speaking to friends and family the care and learning opportunities the boys receive is far superior to anything we could have got at a local Nursery. The environment Marie creates in her home and the extra attention the boys get from Marie is better than anything a Nursery could offer. We have the one to one time Marie has with our twins, supported by her wide range of learning materials (we are running out of room for all the creative pieces of work the boys do) and also the benefit of interaction with other children as Marie takes them every day to a different childminder play group.
All of the work Marie has done with the boys really helps us as first time parents – one thing Marie has particularly helped us with is making sure the boys have developed more independence. Being first time parents and having a very busy life, sometimes we forget to have the patience with the boys to support them to become more independent – Marie will do this with the boys and it really helps us to continue this at home (an example of this is starting to wipe their own bottom).
We couldn’t be happier with the way our boys have progressed and a lot of that is down to Marie – she treats the boys as individuals and not ‘twins’ which is something that was very important to us. She understands their needs and how to best support them. All of the work she does is communicated so well and Marie will always ask our permission for anything she is doing with our boys.
The small things make a huge difference and Marie really goes that extra mile and has such a flexible and friendly approach, from picking up Joseph and William in the morning to sending through pictures of the fun they are having during their time with her, buying the boys birthday gifts, taking them for special day trips to even having them for a whole afternoon as a favour whilst we attended a family funeral.
We no longer consider Marie our childminder – we consider her as family.
