About Me
I'm 44 years old I've over 19 years experience childminding and over 28 years experience working with children. I initially trained at Norland collage for nannies in Hungerford and I was a nanny for many years until I began my own family. I first got into childminding when I was pregnant with my second child as I didn't feel I could leave her and go back to work. She needed that home environment, which is what I think most people want for their children. The cuddles and comfort when they fall or feel upset which I feel larger settings can sometimes fall back on. I have 3 children, a dog and a gecko and fish. I love animals as I grew up on a farm and still go back with the children so they can meet some of the animals from my childhood. I love the beach and outside spaces. As well as arts and crafts. I was an art student at school.
My Experience
I've worked with children for over 28 years in one form or another. I am CRB and DBS checked and ofsted registered. I have a full paediatric first aid certificate and gained a merit award in my level 3 diploma in home based childcare. I attend regular update and training throughout the year and I hold a level 3 child protection/safeguarding certificate. I've had basic training in sign language (albeit slightly rusty) I have recently completed a level 2 certificate in children and young peoples mental health.

My Availability
Full time spaces available from September 2022. I can offer overnight care if necessary
due to covid I will not be offering wrap around care at the moment. (before and after school children)
