About Me
my name is sarah lane, i currently live in Calne, Wiltshire and have done since 2004. i have four adult children Tianne aged 32, Kiara aged 31, Thomas aged 28 and Jacob aged 24, I have a cat called Bella.
I also have 8 Grandchildren ages 1 month - 11 years.
Before registering as a Childminder I worked as a teaching assistant for 14 years and have previous experience of nannying. I also gained a BA Hons in education studies, first aid qualification and have a clean driving licence
My Experience
I have always worked with children, be it at home as a childminder, or in an after school club or nursery school and primary school,Alongside childminding I also Foster children.
I worked in a primary school from 2004-2015 and supported the learning of maths, English, Reading and Phonics, I also gained experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
I have a BA Hons in education studies, first aid qualification and have a clean driving licence
My Qualifications
Cache level two in childcare completed at Chippenham college in 2005/2006
Teaching assistant course in Trowbridge college in 2009/2010
Foundation Degree for Teaching Assistant in Swindon New College 2010/2012
BA Honours in Education Studies with Bath Spa university 2012/2013.
I am first aid qualified, have a current DBS and am ofsted registered
My Availability
I am an ofsted registered Childminder who can offer flexible contracts including shift work, 2 year old funding and 3-4 year old funding, I am also signed up to the tax free childcare scheme introduced by the government
I have a first aid qualification and DBS
Clean driving licence and my own car. I also have public liability insurance.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Childminding Fees are £6.00 an hour per child for under 5’s and £6.50p an hour per child for over 5’s this includes snacks and drinks, nappies, wipes and groups/activities
Children need to bring a packed lunch with them, if they stay past 4.30pm they will get a cooked evening meal.
Overnight care is £6.75p per hour
Occasional evening babysitting is available for £10 per hour before 10pm and £12.50 per hour after 10pm
I can accept childcare vouchers and government funding

Me and my little one agree that we adore Sarah’s care. She is great at settling them in and ensuring they are comfortable/happy and safe within her care. We both highly recommend her as she helps my child develop and be involved in every day life.. we have seen such a change in our little one’s development since he’s started.
