My Experience

I worked in a primary school as a learning support assistant for 3 years. I was working with 4 and 5 year olds. Whilst at the school I worked as a play worker with children aged 4-11, I did the read, write inc phonics training and used to have daily groups of children to teach phonics. I have experience looking after babies, toddlers and children. I have been a nanny for 9 years. I have had my hands full with 3 girls Monday to Thursday and 2 children on a Friday. My duties include school drop offs and pick ups. After school clubs such as swimming lessons, rainbows, brownies. Playgroups and play dates with the younger children in school hours. Cooking, children’s washing. Not forgetting homework, keeping track of the school diary, reading. Fun days out keeping the children active and busy.
I have got experience looking after a lovely little girl who had an operation for hip dysplasia. Learning how to carry, change nappy, how to position her to make sure she was comfortable and keep her entertained while unable to move around due to the plaster cast.
Both of my boys are diagnosed with autism so I have first hand experience of all the difficulties that come with it. Speech delays, big emotions, eating difficulties and developmental delays.

Trained to teach phonics (read write inc)
Full clean driving licence

During school hours and preferably term time only but would consider other options
