About Me
My name is Rebecca and I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since August 2000. I provide a high quality, friendly childcare service. My most recent inspection was February 2020 when I was graded Outstanding by Ofsted for the 4th consecutive time.
I offer a stimulating and challenging range of indoor and outdoor play and learning experiences for the children in my care, including sensory play, loose parts, arts & crafts, construction toys, role play, small world, sand & water, gardening, dressing up etc, as well as taking them on outings to parks, shops, library and special trips such as farms.
The setting has 2 cats as pets, and the children are encouraged to help in their care whilst being well supervised.
I offer Government funded early education (pre-school) places for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds (subject to an available space). I also accept employer Childcare Vouchers.
I am a founder member of Magic Minders, a voluntary group set up to support local childminders.
I have a degree in education, NVQ3 in childcare, L2 Paediatric First Aid & L2 Food Hygiene and I have been awarded Early years Professional Status.
I work part-time as a Childminder as I am also a freelance early years trainer. Although I am still registered at my own home as my primary address with Ofsted, I am co-registered with a colleague to work from her property and am not currently operating from my own home except on an ad hoc basis.
My Experience
Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2000, graded outstanding 4 times. I have also worked in a day nursery as bank cover. I currently provide freelance Early Years training and consultancy services including child protection training on behalf of WSCC.
