I have been an Ofsted registered childminder 24 years in the Thatto heath area, and work along side my daughter who is also an Ofsted registered childminder Kay Ballam
I am Ofsted registered 'good', I have Paediatric First Aid and I keep up to date on safeguarding.
I have 3 children of my own (now 37, 33 and 28) 3 grandsons age 11y, 9y and 1yr and a granddaughter age 3y.
We create a warm, caring , inviting environment with high standards of the EYFS to ensure I provide a service your children will love, learn and grow in. We provide a homely environment for both you and your child/ children and offer support were possible to meet the needs of both you and your child/ children to the best of our ability.
My Experience
I have been a registered child minder for 24 years and work alongside St. Helens council to provide 2 year funding for both 15 or 30 hours options, and will be offering 15 hours funding for 9 month olds from September 2024.
We attend training/meetings to keep our setting up to date and relevant.
We attend a variety of playgroups/parks in our local area/meet ups with other minded children on days out.
We offer lots of different resources for the children choose from independently, and have a garden area where they can run around freely and play.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ level 3 in childcare, along with many other certificates to keep our setting up to date, including food hygiene, first aid and safeguarding.
my last Ofsted inspection was Feb 24. I was graded 'Good'

8am - 5pm

I have used mia (maria) to look after all of my children for approx 8 years from when my daugher was a baby she is now 10 and she also had both my sons from almost newborn they are now 8 and 5 I find her very caring and loving and treated my children like they were her own I also find her hourly rates very competitive to others. Mia has had a massive impact in my childrens life and theysee her as a member of the family. I know that if I ever needed her in an emergency she would be their and would highly recommend her to anyone needing childcare

I came to know mia mid 2009 when I returned to work leaving my 7week old and was let down with childcare. I rang her in a panic needing to leave my baby less than a week later and she fitted me with a meet and greet appointment the next day. Everyone worries about leaving there little one with someone they don't know but from the first time I met her mia tooktam interest in me and my baby and made parting as easy as it could be.
Mia became not just a childminder to us but a very good friend and a surrogate nan to both my boys. She has an atmosphere that let's children develop at there own place in a loving and supported environment.
Mia has always gone beyond and above what a childminder means to me. The pinnacle of which was providing emergency childcare for my big boy while I gave birth to the second. The first stop out he had ever had in the safety of a home with people he knew truly loved him. Unfortunately I had to move and lost mia as a childminder and nobody I have found since has lived up to half of what mia encouraged me to expect. I have and would continue to recommend her to anyone who needed care for there little people no matter how big or small (as long as there's a space for my two if I come back x x)
