Wonderful nanny, can not recommend highly enough

Jackie was our nanny for nearly two years, initially looking after a toddler and newborn. Her previous family, who she had worked with for 5 years, gave her the highest possible recommendation when I spoke with them for a reference, and mentioned that strangers who saw Jackie interact with the children would often report back to the parents how patient, kind and engaged Jackie is with children, even when parents weren't watching.

After two years, I can say exactly the same -- our neighbours are always telling me what a talented and caring nanny she is from years of watching her interact with my children around town. She is creative and has loads of experience with a wide range of ages, and is constantly seeking out engaging activities that are appropriate for our children as they've grown. One of my top regrets when we learned we would need to move was that we wouldn't work with Jackie any more as she has played such an important role in family life and been so kind to me.

If you are looking for a long-term nanny who will fit seamlessly into your lives, always prioritise your children's happiness and well-being, and never do the types of things that can be disruptive or worrying (being constantly late or out sick, paying attention to the phone instead of the children), hire Jackie. A talented, reliable and experienced nanny is actually quite rare, and you'd be lucky to work with someone as lovely as she is.
