My Summary
About Me
Hello!
My name is Angela and I am a Spanish professional nanny with anNVQ Level 2 in childcare and a Spanish qualification similar to a level 3 in early years teaching. I moved to London in May 2013 and since then I have been working with children, during the first 3 years as an au pair and since 2016 as a nanny and nursery assistant.
I am passionate about early years, I love seeing children growing, learning, becoming "their own
themselves" and more independent. I always try to find and plan activities appropiated to their age and interests to ensure they enjoy everyday while they are developing according to their age milestones. I enjoy going to parks and playgrounds, visiting museums, haging out at playgroups, doing crafts, messy play...
I consider myself as an easy-going and flexible person. I am very punctual and I would say that organized. I always help the family to mantain the house clean and tidy and run some errands for the parents when needed ( some shopping, post office, farmacy...).
My Experience
I have 10 years of experience working with children, 3 years as an au pair and 7 as a nursery assistant, nanny and babysitter. I have looked after children from 9 months to 11 years old. Experience in sole and shared charge positions.
My Qualifications
First aid trained, DBS checked. Willing to be Ofsted registered. Level 2 qualified Spanish certificate similar to a level 3. Excellent references.
My Availability
I am looking for a part time job, 1 or 2days a week but only FULL DAYS. Ideally if it is only 1 day it would be only Wednesdays and the second day Friday but there is some flexibility about Wednesdays.

Angela started to work with us 4 years ago in 2016 after she was recommended by a friend she'd been working with as an Au Pair for over 2 years.
When she started our youngest was just 2 and the eldest 4. As you can tell by the length of time she's been with us, Angela is a wonderful nanny and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend her. She's an extremely special member of our extended family and the boys (and I) adore her and here's why:
She is thoughtful and kind - she knows our boys inside out and goes out of her way to find activities, games and treats that both of them will enjoy, despite the fact that they have very different personalities. She has taken the time to build a special relationship with each of them and she knows them as well as we do.
She has incredible amounts of energy and patience and is amazing at game playing. She will play the boys make believe games with them for hours on end and never tires of doing drawing, painting, playdoh, scooting - you name it.
She is really proactive - she will research things to do in the local area and beyond and will suggest fun things for them all to do together. She has got to know their friends and their parents or nannies and will often arrange and host play dates for them which is very welcome and helpful.
She is very responsible and I trust her completely in everything. She takes the boys on fantastic outings into town or to places she thinks will interest them but always checks everything with me first. She takes them on trains, buses, boats and tubes and I never have a worry at all. We've also left the boys with her overnight several times - which they have LOVED!
She is great at communicating and keeping me posted with pictures of what they're all up to which I really appreciate.
She is loyal. She went out of her way to continue working with us even as the boys started school and our hours changed.
And she makes delicious food - especially her omelettes! She is mindful of helping the boys to eat well and healthily but also they enjoy a few treats together.
Between working with us, at Oaktree Nursery and with various other families, she is used to working with all ages and kinds of children and people. She fits in incredibly well, aligning herself with our parenting style making sure she is fun but also firm and fair when she needs to be. She is kind, patient, loving and fun. She even tries to teach our boys Spanish when they let her!
In short, she's a star, she's wonderful with children and a real asset.
