My baby attended Charlie Bears for 9 months until we relocated and unfortunately had to move him to a setting closer to home. We loved Charlies, and were devastated at the move. He absolutely thrived under their care; his development had come on in leaps and bounds and they were a huge contribution to that. The staff are just wonderful, and attentive, and extremely understanding at providing photos and updates throughout the day. There is nothing like Charlie Bears out there - it's all the best parts of a nursery and childminder rolled in to one.

I cannot put into words how grateful we were to have found Charlie Bears when I was due to start a new job after maternity leave. My anxiety and worry of leaving our 8 month old son soon disappeared after meeting Charlie and her wonderful team. The care and reassurance they have provided has been second to none and our little boy has absolutely loved his time with them. He has thrived and grown so much in such a short time. With regular updates and being sent beautiful photos of him making new friends and learning lots of new things, we really couldn’t have found a better setting for him. Thank you Charlie, Becky and May for being so wonderful, kind and caring!

Our 2 year old has been going to Charlie Bears since it started last year and loves the attentiveness and play she gets there every time she attends. I know she has had a busy, full day as she is always happy and tired when we go to pick her up. We know that our child is cared for when she is there as Charlie has really got to know her. We get updates and pictures throughout the day, which is also very much appreciated & puts us at ease.

It’s been a pleasure to have our 7 month old baby boy begin his pre-school journey with Charlie and the Bears. Charlie and her team are friendly, caring, nurturing and supportive and have gone above and beyond in settling him.
What we love as well is that the ratio for staff-children is very low at Charlie and the Bears and we know our son is getting enough 1:1 attention as well as a bespoke learning journey supporting his developmental needs.
We love attending this nursery and would definitely recommend it to all new parents!

I met with Charlie and May and they explained in detail everything they could and would do to make my daughter settle in as we had a bad experience with a previous nursery. The environment was really clean and fresh and I loved that because the tendency of children getting stomach bug would be low.
I was happy with the fact that they were patient in explaining every single detail to me even when I was unsure in making a decision.
I also love that my daughter would have one-on-one attention, I can’t wait for her to start as I already feel positive it about.

I visited Charlie bears before deciding to send my son to the nursery. During the visit my son and I were made to feel so welcome, everything was explained clearly and it’s obvious that the children’s safety and happiness is a top priority. I had to feel he was going to be somewhere that kept him safe and happy but also that provided a stimulating environment with lots of different experiences on offer and I feel really happy with the choice I have made.

Having visited the nursery and met with Charlie I can see so much potential for this business and it's passionate owner. The space is light, airy and thoughtfully laid out with developmentally appropriate toys/activities. The ethos is one of connection first and foremost. The staff support and model by eating with the children but do not coerce behaviour. The play I observed was child led but supported and Charlie has a lovely positive energy about her which I've no doubt she'll seek to emulate in her future hires as the business grows. I was thrilled to learn the children will be outside/in nature as much as possible with easy access to safe outdoor places to explore around Charlton Kings. With a ratio maximum of 3:1 it feels as though care can truly be focussed and individual to each child. Charlie Bears has a generous and transparent settling in process with parent/caregivers invited to stay if they wish to. My son was instantly happy in the space and with the carers, and I'm actually looking forward to him starting with Charlie. I think this nursery is going to be in high demand extremely quickly.
