About Me
Qualified and experienced Nanny offering childcare in Morpeth and surrounding areas.
I'm also a very proud Mum: my daughter is now 20 and my two step children are 17 and 22.
I am happy to work in the traditional sense within the family environment however I also offer flexibility by providing the option of childcare within my own home in the same way a childminder would; I live in a lovely area, my home is warm and welcoming, bursting with an array of play equipment and the outdoor space has been described by one little lady as 'the best garden ever!' which is quite the compliment! We are also keen gardeners and the children are often found helping out in the greenhouse or with a hose in their hand watering the plants, or themselves!
My husband works within the NHS. He has an exceptional energy about him and is always happy to welcome little ones into our home. He is also holds an up to date DBS certificate.
Please note that I am not a registered childminder, I am a Nanny offering the option of childcare in my own home.
I have worked with little people for the past 29 years - each child and family is unique and I easily adapt to individual needs and routines. I truly love my job, it is such a privilege and responsibility to be part of someone's childhood - the only downside is that the children grow up!
I have excellent references, regarding both provision of care within the family home and provision of care within my own home in Morpeth, and will happily provide contact details of referees. I am confident that the families I have previously worked with would assure any prospective employers of my friendly and approachable nature, my enthusiasm for my job and their confidence in my abilities as a professional childcare provider.
My Experience
Almost 30 years of experience in childcare: sole charge and shared care daily Nanny positions for children from birth to adulthood; including experience with twins, Down’s syndrome needs and establishing feeding and sleeping routines with newborns. Overnight, full weekend and foreign holiday cover is also part of my experience. In addition, I spent 2 years as the deputy manager of a private day nursery.
I also work with a wonderful young lady who has cerebral palsy.
The longest I have worked with a family is nine years. I met my current family in November 2019.

My Availability
I currently work Monday evenings, full days on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, before and after school on Wednesdays (this is all day in school holidays)
I am happy to offer babysitting, ad hoc and emergency childcare in addition to regular hours to fit around my current family.

My fees reflect my age, qualifications and experience and can be discussed further at interview.
All fees are reviewed every January and also with any percentage increases to the national living wage.
