My Summary

My Experience

I have over 20 years of experience as an Ofsted Registered Childminder and love my role. I see Childminding as a very rewarding job and endeavour to provide a safe, happy, learning environment for the children in my care. I have cared and catered for children from an age range of 5months-14years and have nurtured their development and enabled them to grow with confidence, self-esteem and a sense of belonging.
I have experienced many happy times working with families whom have entrusted me with their babies/ children and we have worked together to meet their needs and the needs of their family.
I have built on my own experience in working with children by volunteering in a special needs school and found this very rewarding too. It highlighted to me the individualised needs of individual children and how complex needs can be, yet by adapting activities/experiences all children can participate without exception.

My Qualifications

I hold an Outstanding Ofsted grading in all areas and strive to provide a stimulating learning environment where children develop and learn through play.
I regularly attend training to inform my working practice which are childcare orientated and maintain up to date training in Paediatric 1st Aid and Child protection.
I attended Northumbria University and gained a BA Honours Degree in childcare and education in 2011 (LEVEL 6)
I previously attended college/university to work up to this status, i.e.
NVQ level 3,
Quality Assurance Scheme level 3
Behaviour Management courses,
Special needs SEN training courses,
Equal Opportunities and Diversity.
GCSE Maths and English courses,
The Solihull approach.

I do regular training for my continuous professional development (cpd)

I have a very extensive range of certificates which you can view for the courses and training that I have attended if you desire.

I do believe that qualifications are important but at the end of the day the children and families feeling of knowing that they can go to work with the knowledge that their most precious possessions ( their children) are being cared for loved and nurtured in a safe relaxing home from home environment is worth its weight in gold.

My Availability

I have limited availability dependent on ages of babies/children.
I work between the hours of 7.30am - 4.30pm monday-thursday.

I currently collect and drop off at
Spring Gardens Primary School.
North Shields.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.00 per hour

My fees are charged per hour to offer flexibility and to meet the needs of families using my service,

I do not charge per half day/full day.

I charge £5 per hour.

I charge for the hours agreed in our contract and any additional hours required would be charged at the same rate.

I do not charge extra for wrap around, term time or during school holidays where childcare is required. £5 per hour no hidden extras.

I also offer parents a choice to bring child's own meals from home and I will willingly heat/serve these meals or I can provide meals with an additional cost.

Additional costs;
Entrance fees to the likes of farms, toddlers and soft plays apply.
